In the Meta Mesh Editor there is a "vertex count" and "face corner count". While viewing some meshes, I noticed that for many of them the face corner count is higher than the vertex count. Does anyone know the difference?
Mesh triangles are usually stored and processed as groups of 3 vertices, meaning there are loads of "duplicates" with adjacent triangles sharing verts, but if this were the case the face corner number would always be higher, not just some of the time as you said.
