Say, for the next update, is it possible that we also get a .zip of the client files? I would find it quite useful to see what skins are going to break after I install the patch...
 
Well I have to say I do enjoy the new patch now. :razz:

I just noticed another thing though, that really is annoying and it would be nice, if the next patch could fix this. When kicking, it is normally not possible to block downstabs and this has almost always been true, except for the occasional bug. Today though, I dueled a guy, who just kept blocking them, no matter what. He kicked, I stepped back and stabbed him as fast as I could, with the only result being, him blocking me. This might be a ping related issue, but I haven't seen other high-pingers pull it off, so I am guessing it is a bug. Also, even if this was supposed to give the high-pingers a slight advantage, it is just too unfair, seeing as kicks are very overpowered for them then.

So any enlightenment or solution would be nice. :grin:

Yes, I tried it out myself now and couldn't pull it off. Sideblocks or upblock are possible during a kick, downblock shouldn't be, but it is possible for some players (look at my comment further up).

People with certain pings can block down stabs while kicking. IIRC 50 ping is limit when game starts to give certain advantages to players having it, to even the playing ground with low ping people, and people with ping just a tiny bit over 50 (or whatever limit before you get help) have privilege of being always capable to block down stabs while kicking. I'm not sure if they can block all stab chambers like ultra-low ping people can.
Edit: There also seem to be occasional flunk where you manage to block stabs while kicking with any ping, but I haven't been able to replicate it reliably.
 
If you're referring to NW my only reply is wat.
If you're talking about MM, the vets sometimes get on still.
 
I feel like the dev has shortened the cavalry sword range. Trying to slash infantries while keeping safe distance just doesn't feel the same.
 
I agree with the above. I know the swords are -longer-, but it seems that they just aren't.. as... "accurate" as they were in MM, if that makes any sense..

I feel the same way.
Sometimes my blade will slide RIGHT through a man, but no damage dealt.
Dunno if it's lag, or the game.
 
One of the things I find... odd, is that the texture of the cav swords are now actually too short for the range of it, so sometimes you get hit by a sword which doesn't go through you.

Warband have always had that problem, specially with curved swords like the scimitar.
