Hi everyone,

Version 0.730 came out in sort of a hectic way and I was unable to write a proper announcement for it. Luckily, our dear forummates made up for it and announced and documented the new features much more throughly than I could have hoped for. Anyway, I took my time in releasing version 0.731, and I mean to make a proper announcement this time.

Before I go on to the changelog, I'd like to give my thanks to those who have contributed to these new versions. Firstly, I want to thank our new artists Hilmi Aric and Ozgur Saral who have put their creative effort to bring Calradia to life and designed and created a lot of buildings and town setups. Also, many many thanks to module authors and mod tool designers who have inspired us with their fantastic ideas and enthusiasm (Special thanks to Stonewall, who demonstrated the feasablity of sieges in Mount&Blade with his wonderful Siege mod ) And of course my deepest thanks to the forummates who have contributed with their suggestions, views and ideas. I can in no way express how much I appreciate and enjoy hearing your feedback.

Now on with the changelog for 731:

  • Fixed "Kidnapped girl not returning to her parents" bug.
  • Fixed "Ambient lighting not showing" bug, which made interiors too dark.
  • Fixed "Borcha can't be freed" bug.
  • Fixed glitches with some towns / shops
  • Fixed barriers being visible out of edit-mode.
  • Character Import button now imports XP correctly.
  • Athletics speed bonus is somewhat reduced and character movement now takes into account inertia.
  • Fixed bug in ranged AI which made archers target the furthest enemy instead of the nearest one.
  • Fixed bug which made merchants and town NPCs killable.
  • Some new building interiors.

Well, that's about it. You can grab the full installer at:

And the upgrade patch at:

*New version is compatible with savegames from version 0.730 but not with version before that.

Have fun!

Sounds good! Nice work guys.

When can we expect the next version of the official module system?

Took the words right outta my mouth.

Hail Armagan!!! New patch looks great, downloading now. I have to say, version .730 is the best release i've seen yet! Very nice work! I was wondering, now that you have two new members on the team, are you still looking to expand it? Just wondering if there are any set plans, or if this is a "hire more as needed" kind of thing. But hey, either way you've essentially doubled your work force already!

That was quick, as always. Good job, I'm eagerly awaiting more work by Ogzur and Hilmi.

You haven't removed the flintlock pistol, have you? Because even if you left it in by accident, I don't think anyone here minds having it available.

Dangit, I'm gonna get bitter about this very soon! Everyone seems to forget that Storymod was the first to have a working siege.

<Insert more moaning and whining here>

...Okay, sorry, got that out of my system. The siege mod is far better than mine was, anyway.

Nice work on the update, Armagan. It's making me want the new module system even more. I need to release the new Storymod soon or I swear I'll go insane...

Peripatetically,
Winter

While you are releasing the new python files could you please update the Module System Doc Forum at the same time (including the mission Part 2!)?

Thanks.

I thank you a lot.
CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
________
By the way, Mr. Armagan, and Devs, I apologize if I post something inappropriate in the other thread...

Thanks a lot for those kind messages.

fisheye, Janus:

I'll try to release the module system for 731 tomorrow (unless there is some critical bug with the new version that needs to be fixed)

DaLagga: Yep, we'd like to expand further. Hilmi and Ozgur -while very talented- both work as part-time artists/freelancers. Hilmi is a university student and Ozgur enjoys being independent. So we wish to expand our team while continuing to work with them.

okiN: Oops! I did forgot to remove the flintlock pistol although I was planning to do that.

Guessing there is a whole bunch downloading this wonderful fix  Speed aint the best but as they say worth waiting for

Hope it does work with my other guy where i took the kidnapped girl quest but couldnt hand it in.

But dont mather if it dont since i started a new hot chick instead

Most excellent, thanks for the update Armagan.

Great work, as usual. If I have a broken kidnapped girl quest already in my savegame, will this release fix it? (If there's been no reply by the time I test it I'll come back and edit this to say if it did or not.)

Edit : Yeah, the quest from a 0.730 save is fixed, she's gone home.

Hey, I really like the slight inertia added to movement. Well implemented in such a short time.

Glad to see Borcha can now be recruited again .

Good to hear, looking forward to it.

EDIT: and along with the intertia feature which makes switching directions take a short amount of time (nice animation handling with that, by the way), it seems speed walking backwards is better reduced. Seems like about 50% reduction from forward speed.
