OK, I am doing the claimant quest on Veagris I am level 22-25 and I have 1000-1200 renown 70-80 honour and own the following: Khudan, Ismariala castle, have 5 lords which normally have about 46-100 troops and I can have 120 troops.
Anyone knows a good way to take the rest of that side of the river?
I know I need to conquer Curaw, Nelag castle, and the one Keskh castle and the one down south.
Bit which order I would think Nelang castle, and try to rally some more lords get better relation with Swadia and hold my back clear from Khergit.
I am at war with Veagris,Kherigth Khante and Rhodoks.

Thanks in advance!

I haven't been in your situation, but, in my claimant quest I found the following method to bring me the most success.

Take the enemy territories that are closest to the rest of yours. Keep a sort of border which your towns and castles. If you take a castle or town away from the rest of your keeps, then your forces are separated by enemies, and you have further to travel to maintain your forces. Also, if you have to choose between a castle and a town, then take the town. They may have more units garrisoned but they're usually much easier to attack and only need ladders. You'll also get far more wealth and have more resources all round at your disposal (buying troops from the tavern, buying food and armour and mounts, making money at the arena, etc.)

A little vague for advice but it's the best I could come up with. Hope it helps even a little.

Thanks Lock kinda figured that I needed to make it with a border, I have never tried to take a twon before so I will try to assamble all my forces and go for Curaw since it is the only town I dont have in the snow area.
Thanks Locke.

You might want to stock up on food if you're going to siege it.

Well, I actully stocked up on lots of 50/50 food before becouse it was like 500 vs 250 and I was the 250 and I got it on my 3  try and it went 4 days on those days.

for towns I never bring more than 70 men. and I as the marshall just bring in a lot of lords to help if I'm going to take a town.

If you're a decent commander (and have good tactics skill) and the town isn't especially impossible to assault, I'd say you only need the same amount of elite troops the enemy has. The rest are largely insubstantial when you get a foothold inside the castle, and you and your men are killing 20 men to every single loss.

If they have 30 Huscarls, and 200 other troops, you could do it with barely 50 of your own elites.

well, I'm always in the middle of the fray, first to charge and I take out I'd say 1/3-1/2 of the guys out myself and well Most of the time I get knocked out after I lose I'd say around 10 men  included wounded compared to their 120-150 loss but with 100+ army I begin to lose men in morale, but good thing I got leadership up to 5 maybe I can carry them better in sieges.

I tend to have my huscarls charge in, then with my archers following me, I also charge in. Then position my archers effectively, and go and help where it's needed. I grew bored of taking on entire armies back in the older versions. Now I leave most to my army. It's rare that I'm knocked unconscious myself these days.

well in sieges, I never actually start with my army, I actually begin facing off with the entire castle by myself and once I lower the archer count or they get reinforcements then my guys come in, but when you have a bunch of Nords/Vaegars and they have the strongest weapons I believe and well that takes a hit. I recently began using pole arms since my 2h pro is over 330 and well so far it seems nice with a pole axe nice reach.

If they don't have archers, you can kill the entire castle by standing just out reach and jabbing them in the face with a spear/polearm. Take a bow, three packs of arrows, stand at the top of the ladder and shoot their elite troops in the face while they fail to charge past the wall and assault you. I love those sieges. The only reason I lose a single man is if I shoot my own archer in the head and take his arrows when I run out.

well, most sieges I've been having lately are like 50% vaegar archers/marksmen, and they usually have so much they can shoot from every part of the castle lol. once I had to go all the way around the castle to get 20 of them chilling at the back on some platform.

I'm also fighting Vaegirs at the moment, and to suit, my army is 50% or more Veteran Archers to counter theirs, and any other sharpshooters from other factions I come across I recruit also. Can't remember the name, but the second Vaegir castle from the north, at the Eastern most point, is a ****ing slaughter house. Do not try and assault that without other lords with you.

Well, it did not take long before this topic changed course but keep going with those ideas of taking Veagris.
Personally I only has 10-30 archers and 100 infantry and maybe 20 horsemen

I personally enjoy battles outside sieges more especially me on a horse vs a bunch off horse and if I do bring cavalry I hop off my horse to fight.

Any Faction is easy to take over as long as your smart about it. Siegse bring infantry/archers... battles fields bring cavalry/archers and thats about it... lol.
