I'd personally like to see the ability to block with a Langseax and Broadseax, especially since it's possible to block with wood-handled axes that are even shorter. While I can do a fairly decent job of riposting 1v1 in single player, not having the ability for a weapon to block basically excludes it from my load-out. I'm no expert on historical seaxes (is that even the proper plural form?), but weren't some of the larger ones fairly close to being what a lot of people would term "short swords," and don't the Langseax and Broadseax represent those types?

Speaking of short swords...all but one of the "Short Swords" used by the Norse Noble (Hersir) have a length of 91, which is longer than all other generic swords, with exception to some Rich/Standard Briton Swords, and the Goidelic Long Swords.

The Angle Bodyguard (Gedriht) also seems to use clearly inferior swords compared to other faction troops of the same path/tier (including the Saxon version of the same soldier). Angles receive a generic "Sword" that's 23c/swing and 18p/thrust, while the lowest end sword for the Saxon Bodyguard (Gedriht) is a False Ulfberth at 27c/swing and 19p/thrust. The Briton and Norse swords also appear to be clearly superior to what the Angles get, while the Irish and Picts aren't a total apples-to-apples comparison to everyone else (their swords are longer, slower, and have high swing/low thrust damage...and on that note, should the Irish get a chance at the same [very slightly better] "Noble" version of the Picts? Or maybe that should be the "cavalry sword" if horsemen are given swords again?)

Is it possible to change some of the sword scabbards? (for the named swords)

I noticed that the blue one is there quit often (ulfberths, banditking, widowmaker) maye have forgotten one....

but the other scabbards are just 1 time there ( nad, (the green one....halti or so?), dragundail , ...it feels like i missed one ....oh well)

For the Long seax +(Ragnars, elfs,) is there a way that you can have them visible along your sword scabbard? (something like the boardseax...)
Each sword scabbards goes with its sword.

For the Long seax +(Ragnars, elfs,) is there a way that you can have them visible along your sword scabbard? (something like the boardseax...)
What do you mean?

Also the damage for the seaxs....im not sure but i think the best slashing swords should have a littel bit more slash damage
(elf 38 temp. - nad /banditking 38 temp.)
so maybe 1-2 Points more? and the seax a bit faster to compensate ?

weapon/armor reinforcement

im quite happy that you can reinforce your armors now
Is it possible to add the masterwork option for weapons ? (temperred feels a bit weak as final upgrade) maybe let the player choose if he wants balanced or temp as upgrade.......

oh and is there another armorpiece besides elf helm that can become lordly / will there be one in the future?

Im not sure but is it possible to get the "elfs" banner ?
We will consider your opinion. But be aware this is about balance the weapons, no make OP your favourite ones.

Noted! We will think about that.

They are noble... you know, the size matter

We rebalanced prices for RE, and as part of that we removed some imods (qualities like masterwork). They are just cool names from native, as the bonus they give are really small (+1 damage, etc). We have less options, but they are closer in price (so no more 200k helmets).

A example: a masterwork sword would cost 17.5x the price of a normal sword, while giving just +1 damage when compared to the tempered version
--> Normal sword 5k, masterwork 43k denars

The qualities have a impact on the item durability (they break in combat = reduce quality over time), so you will notice that your reinforced armor will last longer than a battered one

Great i diddnt know this ......  now making a weapon temp. has a meaning

There is something that doesn't make sense : if your tempered weapon is damaged in combat, would it become balanced? That would suggest that a damaged tempered weapon become stronger since speed bonus is deadly with swords (+3 speed > +1 damage I think).

Maybe there is to change tempered bonus, making it more interesting, by adding +1 speed? or maybe nerf balanced to 1 speed and buff tempered with 2 or 1 speed. Prices are an other matter...

imods bonus are hardcoded (part of the engine), so we won't change them

you can give +4 damage with upgrades, so your weapons can already be at +-38c if you want to  :iamamoron:

So many answers

thanks a lot

What do you mean?

Well if you have equipped a sword, a spear and the longseax only one of them is "visible" (longseax, sword) if you are wielding the spear, because both take the same place (same thing with twohandaxe / throwing spears / spear on back)

Im not sure but is it possible to get the "elfs" banner ?

well my favorite is already op  but 21 str is a good way to balance this specific weapon

Draguandìl seems a bit weak now with 28c damage. When playing as an Irish I always felt special when I was wielding that sword in 1.04 but now I don't really see the point since a briton sword is about as good.

try the pointy way too

That sword has a high piercing damage for thrusting attacks (28swing, 22 thrust)

Stab Stab Stab  :dead:

I shall try indeed. But I sure wouldn't mind an extra cutting point or two  :shifty:

Anyway aside of all these minor complaints I really want to say that you have done an AMAZING job with RE. Someone in the forum stated that VC was now the best version/mod for Warband and I totally side with that.

Now get back to work and prepare us a mod for Bannerlord release !

Yes but... a regular Ulfberht sword has 30swing, 22 thrust and is lighter (only 1 pound)

upgrade it for +4 damage  (both swing AND thrust)

Draguandil is easier to get than an Ulfberth sword.

indeed, I even heard that Ulfberth sword is something kings that stabilize a kingdom should be using  :shifty:

I never found throwing axes. They will not be?
What they should do is have Franciscas that you can get in Frisia that have like 3 axes to throw, but they are also decent in melee mode so you can throw 2 and then have a close range weapon.

I think here there is a price imbalance.

Not sure, but maybe the "not being able to block" might be a huge factor (?)

this ^ . It is not only damage, but other factors like how easy to get one (buy), special abilities (like block), reach, speed, ...
Langseax are about half the price of common swords.

Soldier's wife upgrades directly to Camp Defender who's 5 levels lower, and has worse stats except for the ability to wield a bow, but still I don't really think it's worth to spend those 400 pennings on that...

It would be cool if you could change that to some kind of "Shieldmaiden" unit, but that's totally up to you. It would be amazing though.

Also, one instance when I talked to Peasant Women in my party, it gave me the option to pay them 450 pennings and get a pretty decent morale boost. I've never gotten that option again. Are there specific circumstances for it to be available?

Try again in ~3 days
