Vassalage & enlisting

I'm currently a Man at Arms in William Marshalls retinue. Eventually if I distinguish myself will I be given command? Otherwise how else do I become a vassal. In vanilla there was the option to lead your war band as a mercenary for the faction for 30 days, thus increasing your standings. How is it the vassalage comes about with this mod? Do you eventually just get asked by the King?

It works the same way as native.  You can work for the King as a Mercenary captain just like before.  Also, just like native when you have a certain amount of Renown + Relations with king you will be offered a vassalage.

Thankyou! I am now a vassal. The route I took was man at arms + winning pitfights for renown. When I retired I had good standing with England and then after that I just did one task for King John. I loved this so much, very immersive and engaging. Not many games let you fight under the legendary William Marshall then be given a small fief in Wales for your efforts. Keep up the good work guys!
