Vanilla sounds

Is it possible to play the Gameplay or Expanded versions without "More Metal Sounds"? I find it terrible when it comes to hitting and blocking. Vanilla sounds are much better for me.

I tried deleting all files in the "Sounds" folder but then no sounds were played at all. Can anyone help me, please?

I'm not an expert when it comes to modding, however, instead of deleting them, try replacing the modded sound files with the ones found in the vanilla game folder. That might work.

That is how I used to change the gameplay music to my liking, by replacing the sound files.

Edit: I am only suggesting this because you have already fiddled with the files, so it can only get better I think.
