Values that affect a lord's chance of joining you?

A week or so ago I came across a thread, somewhere, were somebody mentioned some modifier that controlled the chance that a lord will join your faction, but I can't find the thread again. So does anyone know what it is, and where it is?

Quite frankly, I'm sick of how random and often illogical their choices are -- I'm currently helping Lady Isollo reclaim the throne of Swadia, and I'm having a hell of a time getting other Swadian lords to side with me. My renown is over 1000, my honor is 40 something, and most of them like me. At first I thought it was because I had so few lords on my side. But now, after I've captured King Harlus and about 12 other lords, I thought for sure that the remaining lords -- at least those whom I have over 20 in relationship with -- would be more willing to join my cause. But they aren't.

I even used the cheat menu and raised my relations with one, just to see if that would help. At over 60, he still wouldn't, and the debug dialog showed there being a -9% chance (that's minus 9), even when using his favorite response. What's even more absurd is the fact that every criteria comes up as positive with me -- he'd feel safer with me militarily, he 'likes me and my companions more than his current liege', and he feels that Lady Isollo has a strong claim to the throne. But in the end, he remains loyal to King Harlus. It just doesn't make sense under the circumstances; taking into account the state of their realm, the fact that they're also at war with the Nords (and getting hammered), who in turn, are at war with the one remaining faction in my game -- the Khergits -- the few free Swadian lords have nowhere else to turn. They're facing certain defeat from all sides unless they join me, and they like me. But they refuse. It's crazy.

Does it? I assumed it didn't matter if you're doing a claimant quest, as you aren't king... I'll enable the cheat menu and increase it to see, though.

I would be interested in the answere as well as I don't know actually. It just came up my mind when I read your post since you were talking about relationship only.

Well I tried increasing my right to rule a bit, and there was a tiny effect on the percentage, but it was still a negative number. I can only imagine how high it would need to be in order to even give me a slight chance of success. Also, I did actually find the thread talking about this, but in it, the person says that they saw something in another thread, but don't remember. And this was last year. I've looked through several of the files I thought might contain this mythical line, searching for anything pertaining to "lords" or recruitment", but I haven't found anything that appeared to be it.
