After hearing that this was caused by retreating enemies taking damage, I've been sticking to cleaning up the runners.

Of couse I just caused it to crash by swinging at the last man as he went off the map

But seriously though, I've waited a lifetime for a game like this so I can handle some extra waiting, even though you can hardly call this waiting. When I think of waiting I think of when I was a child, waiting months on end for Christmas to get that new bicycle only to find a pair of underwear under the tree. This is so much better.

It's basically a cynical ploy to be able to claim credit for fixing anything that wasn't specifically mentioned as fixed, because you quite probably didn't intend to fix it but since it's no longer broken you may as well pretend you did.

Having Warband v. 1.112.

I just wanted to get the 1.113 patch. I searched for it and found:
a ca. 500 MB large *.exe file.  Why they say "patch" if it's a full game?!! I put it byside so far.

Next try:
I found a real patch! Wow! It said:

Latest Patch

If you have Mount&Blade: Warband version 1.1 or above, you can upgrade your game to the latest version using the patch. Please use one of the links below to download it (~35 MBytes).

Now we remember the latest patch is 1.113, isn't it?
I downloaded the 35MB file. I launched the file and wanted to patch my 1.112 to 1.113. What the hell!!!! IT SAID M&B IS NOT INSTALLED ON YOUR PC! Crazy or what??
And further the patch (we remember the quote above) file was named:
mb_warband_upgrade_1100_to_1113  ...now tell me: is it 1.1 to 1.113 or is it 1.1 or higher to 1.113

Obviously it not this and not that, nor anything else!

The next thing:
Why the hell do I have to install Steam if I just want to have M&B Warband??? And now they say, patch 1.113 would be out now, but I can't patch my game via Steam (because it's too slow or stupid or whatever) nor can I patch my game manuall via patch download-and-install over 1.112!

I  AM  PISSED!

Oh, I forgot: the *.exe of 500 MB, mentioned on top, is an English version and I had no chance to choose my language (german). Are they trying to punk us or did they Devs lose the overview, or what?

You don't have to, I don't think it would make a difference because it's mostly AI and stability fixes. No changes to the economy etc that would require a restart. The saves work for me.

Calm down mate. For once your issues are not due to bugs or errors on the part of TW. The patch available on the TW website is the latest and applies just fine.

BUT

It is for the version of the game bought from TW, not the Steam version. For your version you'll just have to wait for Steam to pull their finger out and get the patch uploaded. Either that or download the TW version, install it, and apply the patch to that version instead.
