V1.1.0 ... Gaining levels and skills as for a child game

First of all, thanks for working on this beautiful game, you are doing a great job, even if a lot of things still to be fixed.
Regarding v1.1.0 experience system, I think we are not going along the proper way. Ok, it was kinda difficult gaining levels and skills before, but I was getting in use with that, without any problem.
Now...after 4 battles me and my companions have almost all the skills, and All of the characters are gaining levels almost every day.

I think this is too much. Maybe it could be better having an average system between now and before, but more similar to the 1.0.0 version.

Regards

Would love to know what your settings are, I am currently struggling to train my companions to be even feasible with crossbows and it's a serious pain. I think the best I have right now is like 180 on someone that has been with me for basically the entire game and I have about 700 days on the current build.

I like the new system much more as it gives you the chance to catch up on the 15+ years of experience that your player was a vegetable. Also you start weaker than a looters who don't have those years of experience. they need to buff your start hard or reduce your starting age so that your character wasn't an incompetent imbecile for 15 years. which BTW is almost 70% of a avg medieval lifespan...

historical facts-
In the Middle Ages, the average life span of males born in landholding families in England was 31.3 years and the biggest danger was surviving childhood. Once children reached the age of 10, their life expectancy was 32.2 years, and for those who survived to 25, the remaining life expectancy was 23.3 years.

Did you continue a stable branch campaign (1.0.X) on the beta branch (1.1.0)? Because that breaks companion leveling, due to the new parameters on the current beta branch trying to readjust existing stats when experience is gained on a save from a previous game version. My guy with 160 in one-handed jumped all the way up to 290 and all of his perks disabled themselves when I did that.

I started a new campaign after that happened and nothing's broken yet with the changes to experience gain. I really like it that I can get earlier tier perks faster now, so that I'm not an useless **** compared to some Shieldmaiden I picked up for 1k denars, who starts with 200 in every combat skill.

Start New campaign
My guess is people create these threads as they would like the devs to implement new leveling system in a less "harmful" way, so that they wouldn't loose 300 days of progress in favor to a fresh start with every update like this.
