V .710 Missing dude in battles

when im on the map and i see a battle going on there is only one dude and a floating sword. is this normal? i took a screenshot but i don't know how to post it.

That's probably due to the two parties overlapping, so it looks like there's only one party.

ok thanks! I saw it a couple of times but not on v 704 so I thought it might be a bug.

im not very far in the game...
