It says 'mission failed' when you're not there at the end of a battle. Even if its won. And regardless of any other victory conditions I think. And even when you 'Order your men to attack and stay back'.
This doesn't seem to affect quests or stability or anything else a far as I can see, just depressing to see the writing when your 'boys' have in fact done the job. I don't know if this was reported for a previous version, just thought I'd pop it in there.
