My horse was really slow so at the beginning of a battle with Dark Hunters I got off it and commanded my troops to mount. Later, I got a head shot (my first hit) on one of the opposing horsemen (not sure what class) and I got this error. I clicked ignore and it happened again, so I kept clicking (to keep ignoring) and running for the guy's horse. Shortly after I got on the horse and started moving the error stopped showing up (ignoring is the only way to still play after getting an error, right? If not I could have mis-clicked). If I had to guess I'd say I got the error around 20-30 times.

*Edit
Whoops, I was trying to use my mouse to copy the exact message.

I commanded my forces to hold this position while my character was dismounting and got that same error. Maybe I clicked on the wrong button, but the game shut down after that error.

I also have recieved this error. And it annoyed me because i was anhililating some dark riders, even though i was grossly outnumbered (which for me is rare).

I had just killed an enemy on horseback, and i ordered the mount call. One of my heroes took the horse, then i shot an arrow and got a headshot, and that error came up. I can't remember what i clicked but it made my whole computer reset! :S

Hey,

I also got this message during a fight. I told my minion to dismount, headshot a bunch of river bandits, then told him to remount, and got this error once.

Hi all
I have this error also. It does then I use command "Mount" to my soldiers at the battle. The button "Ignore" dosn't help me, the game crush.

I get the exact same message, and its happening more and more frequently, I'm running the most recent build and running Windows XP, I have a gig of ram and a 2.0 Celeron processor and a Nvidia Gforce4 vieocard.

edit-It seems to happen randomly with me, right in the middle of battles.

If this is what i think it is, then click ignore and give dismount order quickly before it comes again. Or try to dismount. alt+i works for ignore if you cant see the window.

Same prob (actualy right now, I minimized the game),
mountbladeerror.jpg

I was on foot, having dismounted 30 secnods prior.
My comp isn't as good as ^^'s.
It is annoying.
I was just mopping up the last of a group of vargir desertes  THey'll pay for this.

Its happened to me also, once , good thing i dont order my soldiers to dismount very often  only a fool gets off a warhorse when hes wearing plate

I have been able to reproduce this error reliably so far. It's because I wanted to develop a good strategy, but this bug won't allow me right now.

This is what I do:

Before a mountain/hills fight versus opponents who are half on horse, half infantry, I tell my entire group to 1) Stay put. Then, I tell them to 5) dismount. When the enemy cav come in, we trap and slaughter them. Then, I tell my troops to 4) Mount up, and for every AI that tries to mount a horse, this error appears. I'm almost certain the number of times you have to click Ignore is equal to the number of NPCs that are attempting to mount a horse. It's not a game-breaking error, because they still end up getting on the horse, and the game continues flawlessly. The problem is that it's extremely incovenient, because I have to minimize and re-maximize the game every time the stupid error window comes up! One time it took me like two minutes of clicking, etc. to get the game out of this silly mire. (By the way, it's a good strategy)

[Edit: Doh, I forgot to continue the strategy. After the enemy cav are all dead, we mount up and mop up and head for the few remaining enemy infantry. The strategy really only works if you start in a hilly location and your enemy starts on a flat location.]

=$= Big J Money =$=

it happens to me when ever i give and order then kill a guy that is on a horse so i just dont give orders LOL just let my men charge.

I think we maybe talking about multiple error's here , but in any case , Alot of the bug's including the Mount Horse bug is fixed next version , so just wait...

Not sure if this bug was supposed to be fixed in this version or not, but, I'm still getting it. Exactly as Big J money described. For the same strategy too, lol.

P.S. This game still rocks!!

-Edit- Never mind, just read the title of the thread, will wait for next patch, like everybody else (This is the problem with searching for the error message text instead of scrolling through the forum! lol)

I got this same error earlier and I clicked "retry". My computer rebooted.

Now whenever I try and open Mount&Blade the computer reboots, as per the "(v0.632) Computer Reboots during Startup Menu" thread. Should I post this in that thread, too?

I have been getting this error alot as well, but thus far, never while IN combat.
I get the error now after every 3-4 battles. And always after the battle when I close the "prisioner capture" screen. Pressing ignore seems to do nothing, even after 30-40 times. Hitting Abort or Retry causes my whole system to crash and I need to reboot.

At first I thought it might be related to having used the cheat mode, since I only saw it on my "cheated" test character, but now I am seeing it on my normal guy as well.

I haven't noticed to problem early in your career, however, it seems to increase as the battles start to involve more and more people.

If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. =)

Edit - and incase it matters.... I am using the new 0.7 version. =)
