Is there anything more down there that I could buy except Velvet that would give a good profit?
And whats the "re-spawn" time for Velvet in the southern markets?
Buy some velvet from anywere. Sell it to them. That way they've got some to set up the caravan. Buy back velvet. rinse. repeat. no waiting for stock refreshes.

How can I hire infantry/cavalry from my fief (Minsk)?
I got the infantry commander and cavalry commander but I can't seem to find the option to train them.

Also, when I go to villages and recruit volunteers it seems that I'm spending my thalers but I don't actually get volunteers to join my army.  Some bug or something?

My game is going great right now, haven't joined any faction yet, only focusing on gearing and getting money. So now I currently have 72 fully upgraded musketeers and the best crafted armor with about 2.5 mil cash!

can someone link me up to the page where there is a list of compatible npcs so that i will not waste thaler early stage.. thank you

This is my first post about this game and i must say "Wow".
These storylines stuff is really cool, but i can't see clearly how I can choose conciously my storyline.
By now I'm on Russian storyline from what I can see, I'm raiding polish villages on a patent given by the Russian Tsar.

Shortest distance high profit caravan route is Kursk to Tula with spice or velvet. With spice a 6-8k cost brings 50k. With velvet a 17k cost brings 74k (bring both from Kiev or the other southern towns), 1k selling in Tula so it produces 40-50k profit per one way run, return trip is empty although I am trying to find a good to plug in so that it at least doesn't lose money. At least its so close so even without the return trip caravan you get back quick enough to do it again without losing a lot of time.

Not sure if anyone else has said this and not sure if it is a bug or intended or overlooked but you can create caravans of any resources in the goods merchant of a town. So if you sell, say velvet, to the good merchant you can then create a velvet caravan from that city. Because of this I tend to carry one of each expensive resource around with me. Did a caravan from Novogorad to Narva for something in the vicinity of 133,000 profit using this method. You can always buy the resource back after you create the caravan so no need to go hunting down a new one.

Hmm, does anyone know where the throne claimer of Russia is? Apparently you need him for the storyline quest, so any ideas?

What does one do if you have to progress the story line by talking to the king, but the king has been captive for the last 50 days?

No.

Hire all officers before you can get hussars.

Is there any way to increase the base party size?  I was sieging a castle and had to run away, before the siege my base party size was 50, now my base party size is 10.

1 question when im taking over a city/castle and I go into lord hall then the guard is Cossack armored guard something but I only got mercenarys in my city, is that a bug?
