Use of REG[] in unofficial editor

Hi unofficial editor users,

I assume that REG[] represents a table of registries. Are these registries temporary variables, or do can they have some sort of persistent behaviour associated to them? If they are temporary, when do they expire? For example, I invoke a script during a conversation, I are REG[] values transmitted?

I beleive that registers are only valid in the operation block they are used in. The one case I'm not positive in is between the condition and consequence blocks.

Thanks for the response, I thought it was a bit bizarre that scripts would modify global variables, but I guess that it the tool that we have.
