When you view orders (backspace default hotkey) you should be able to use your mouse in this screen to click the units and icons, and maybe also allow us to select the units in battle when showing indicators (alt default hotkey).

Also using the scroll wheel to cycle through the options.

Another idea is to be able to adjust the size of the formation with the scroll wheel, similar to the stand closer stand further commands in warband.

Bonus ideas
- When cavalry/ horse archers follow you, they won't stand still but instead circle around you.
- Circle formation for cavalry and horse archers should make them run around the selected area/units. Adjusting formation size can make their circle bigger or smaller.
- Select where/who you want your archers to shoot at with indicators.
