I got one because the jack for my headphones was broken, and it works, but the thing is, it's way too loud (and it produces static, but that's less important). In order to listen to something on Youtube I either have to play it on full volume and put my headphones in my lap, thus nullifying their use, or I have to set it almost on mute, and the computer volume almost muted as well. Needless to say, this leaves me very little room to change volume control; is there a way to make the computer consider a low volume as actually a high or somewhat moderately high one?

So I can have some space between muted and bearable sound. :???:

There might be a programme on google that limits sound, out of control of the computer, but what do I know I'm a cock.

In the volume control panel, you can also adjust the 'Wave' setting, which affects most audio output.
