Oh boy, Obama's completely won Norway's hearts now.

The big front page story this Saturday was the fact that a Norwegian woman  didn't have enough money for the ticket home to her husband, who was waiting for her in some forgotten fjord for their wedding. Senator Obama gave her $103 for the plane ticket. Usually, celebrities just mentioning Norway are immortalised in our chronicles until the end of Man.

If she talked to McCain instead he would probably say "Do you think I had ticket money to get out of Hanoi?". Which is a slight improvement to Bush, who would tell her how sorry he was and ask if she could donate the rest of the money to his campaign. And when she refused, Cheney would break her nose and take the cash, and then send her to Guantanamo Bay for assaulting the VPs hand with her face.

Hahahahahaha.

Bush isn't that bad. I support him.

*waits for flaming*

I'm being completely serious. I support George W. Bush, 43rd President of our country. He's got flaws. He's still our President.

Bush won both elections fair and square. John Locke is not the founder of the U.S. last time I checked. The reason why the electoral college exists in the first place is to prevent the people from electing a bad president, even if he is the most popular. As you can see in Bush's case, the electoral college proved its effectiveness.

I supported Bush during both elections and continue to support him. He may be the best president of this country in the modern era.

I say that with all seriousness.

And, if you guys really think voting matters in the U.S., and that the elections are not rigged by secret societies, then you are too ignorant.

I say that with half-seriousness.

He shouldn't be, he lost the 2000 election  John Locke would turn in his grave.

And he would never have been the Republican candidate at all if he didn't have his old man's economic support system in his back, he's utterly incompetent.

Honestly, it'd be unpatriotic to support him.

He is still our President. And therefore, he has my full support.

I for one, believe that the U.S. government is not a democracy. It's a mutated version of one, this country is no longer for the people by the people. It disgusts me.

The U.S. is a republic.  The U.S. has never been "for the people by the people", that's communism.  The U.S. was founded and created by a select group of highly intelligent and influential philosophers, not by the masses. Lincoln is not a founder of the U.S., his statements are not representative of the core of the U.S. in its original foundation. It is not valid to say "no longer" because it has never been.

I wouldn't want to live in a country "for the people by the people", especially that "by the people" part, because the people are a bunch of idiots.

He bloody well isn't. A presidency must be a mandate granted by the people of the nation, and Bush was beaten by Al Gore in 2000 - fair and square, as it were. He is the de facto president, de jure not, and de facto *******.

You support an unethically elected, illegal president? Honestly, how can you do that?

Allso, ttsec, shut the hell up.

You obviously know nothing about American civics. Please go read the U.S. constitution before saying what is legal or illegal in the U.S.

Did I ever say anything about American laws?

I thought not.

In that case, Saddam Hussein is illegal (in the eyes of American law), and therefore, we had every right to remove him.

By the way, in the U.S., the president does not swear to the people, he (she, in the future?) swears to the constitution.  This is to prevent a country from being perverted by popular opinion, because what's popular may not be what's right.

Just because he's your president, it doesn't mean that you have to support him, especially when he damages your country more then he does to help it. The leader of your country and your country are two separate entities. Not supporting one doesn't mean that you'll not be supporting the other.

When he damages your country more then he does to help it seems like his.

Bush is a great man. He has not only improved the country he serves, he has improved the world at large.

It is sad, that great men rarely get appreciated in their lifetime. What a shame.

The U.S. government is a Republic. If we were doing a democracy, voting would take months.

No. Saddam Hussein was not doing illegal activities in international law. Americans can not try a person from a completely different country who broke our laws in his country.

I can do it because he's still the President. No matter how you put a spin on it, he still is President.

Aye, I know. But we the people vested our confidence in him. And I still support him.

Look, would you take your trolling elsewhere? Ruining threads by provoking quarrels is just childish.

So, praising someone is considered trolling. That would actually be the opposite of trolling.

If you cannot accept the truth because it hurts, maybe you should be the one going elsewhere.

What is this so-called "international law."  That which is not enforced is not law.

The so-called "international law" says that nations will be free to choose their own governments. If the U.S. government election process elects Bush, how is that a violation of international law?

I am here, referring to the accusation that Bush status as president is "illegal".  Which, when considering "international law," would still be legal.

I doubt any mod or admin would ban me for supporting Bush, or Obama, or McCain, or Napoleon, or whatever. Supporting someone and appreciating him is not considered trolling.

Please read forum rules before making such accusations.

No, you are definitely referring to Saddam Hussein. Please, don't post without even thinking. Moron.
