Us 2008 presidential election.

 Typical American - it's not right or wrong that's important, it's being able to say"I'm a x!" no matter what everyone else says. The US has serious identity problems.

It's strange. I'm getting really obsessed with this US presidential election, I keep looking for news and info on the internet.

Meanwhile over here in New Zealand, we got an election coming up in a months time, and I couldn't give a toss.
(the two main parties here are so centrist it doesn't really matter who wins. Then you got the minor parties, which unlike in the US end up taking 10% of the vote or more. There's one that's been in existence for a couple of decades now that doesn't actually hold any policies or opinions of its own, but the leader of the party just adjusts his stance to fit what he'll think will get votes from bigoted old people. The party then latches on to whichever major party earns the highest votes and procedes to form a coalition. Everyone hates him, but the leaders of the major parties can't do anything about it because he always commands the crucial 10% of the vote that determines who is in power.)

Don't worry I hate winston peters too, However I do like the MMP system, It means that although a government is elected in they cannot do whatever they want once there in.

Last election he came so close to being kicked out of parliament but just managed to weasel in and become the minister of foreign affairs. Hopefully this time we'll have better luck.

The current situation is pretty good for Obama.  Polls show him surging in the battleground states of (OH, FL, PA, VA..).  If the election were held tommorrow he would win. The problem is the election is still a month away. I think he's probably close to the high water mark and at some point the polls will narrow as the election gets closer.

Tonight is the VP debates. Biden vs. Palin.  I think it will likely be pretty boring.  She isnt stupid, she just doesnt know the material very well.  You will likely see some verbose non-answers from her which is a trick she used in AK as well.  One former opponent called her a master of the "glittering generality".  She knows how to stall.

Oh god, half of me really really wants to watch the debate, the other half cringes in horror at the whole thing.

That actually sums up our sick fascination with the US elections.

I watched the vice presidential debate, Governor Palin just ignored questions that weren't in her rehearsals and called herself a maverick every five minutes and lied a lot, at one point she gave a shout out to her homeys which seemed weird to me. I wouldn't vote for her to be a crossing guard. Sarah said she will no longer give interviews because the media filters them, apparently those interview tapes were changed and spliced by the evil liberal mainstream media to make her look stupid, that darn mainstream media. Joe Biden was his same old self, not too exciting.

Talk about lying, Biden said that McCain voted like Obama for the budget resolution, which he did not, he also said that Obama wouldnt sit down with the psyco leader of Iran, which he did.  Imo Biden is a person who never wanted to be a VP but now agrees with Obama cause he wants to be a big name in government

Strange, I don't think he's crazy at all. He seems a lot more stable then the rest of the world's extremist politicians.

He believes that the Holocaust never happened, nuff said

Oh boy, now you can be harassed by your friends into voting for Obama!

Obama won't win, 'cause the Freemasons won't let him, because the Freemasons are controlled by Jews.
