At the risk of sounding impatient (which I'm not), roughly how often are updates released, and while I'm on the subject, when can we expect the next?

The last few were pretty close together, lots of minor fixes. I'd give em a while for the next release, it should have the development tools for adding your own content, and I'm willing to bet there'll be some juicy content added (3d towns, better interiors, etc)

I should have released one by now, but ipek and I will be on vacation next week and I won't be around to fix problems if there are any. So the new version will have to wait until early july.

Where are you guys going?

Early July sounds good with me personally, also, I always wanted to ask you, how easy will the mod tools be to use? Lets say on a scale from 1-10. Basically my skills with changing anything is limited to putting a Hitleresque style moustache on my gf in photoshop. So what would be my learning curve? since I pretty much know nothing.

I'm completely agree with you. I'll say more. The vacation for them is great, because they won't be able to drive the game out of their heads. So there will be more interesting ideas.

May thanks. We're looking forward to our vacation as well.

Pavlov: Difficulty will depend on what you are trying to do. Doing something like changing a town name or editing an item's stats will be easy enough. But for example adding a series of quests with lots of dialogs and game logic will be rather involved.

Woo hoo! This is gonna be cool! Things are gonna really get interesting once the community can make quests.

Exciting stuff...

It is okay to take a vacation. It is better to take a break, delay a release than working too hard to wear down yourself. We can still wait, and is it possible to leak some new features and improvements?

Heheh. Sure. I am basically trying to finalize the module system so that I can release the module tools. While there are quite a lot of changes, most of these will be "behind the scenes" and unnoticable to the player. (Things you will notice will include addition of gloves and improvements to the random terrains.)

I can wait until *late* July for the update for such a great game. Hell, I could probably wait 'til autumn! (w00t)

Wow, both mods *and* Armagan responded to a casual question... You don't get that sort of customer service/interest from Valve or Microsoft!

BTW
As Incendiary Lemon said. Have a good time!

EDIT:
And one more thing, why haven't you got an avatar Armagan? (just another casual question)

Armagan, just curious, will this release include the model exporter? If not, I'm going to try my hand at writing one, if Taurandhir manages to figure out the rest of the mesh format.
