thats why i do not like "polished landscapes". if i remember right, there are mostly trees looking like birches, or more like poplars.
which is - for a big area - quite unrealistic for 7th century britain.
the native trees can basically be everything, but they support the "feeling of beeches" quite good. or at least better.
to sum it up: Brytenwalda with "Calradia in darkness" is a way better idea than Brytenwalda with polished landscapes - from a botanical point of view
