This sounds awesome. As a suggestion, you should add plague doctors in. Not quite sure what they'd do, but they'd add a nice gothic ambience to the whole thing:

I think that I.Y.O.R.T had a plague doctors outfit in a mod that he released - I can't remember the name of it though. It was a dark and atmospheric piece of work, a shame it was never expanded.

Good luck NOught, I enjoy Blood but this sounds like a grand idea!

 
Loving the good feedback! The mod is coming along quite well, and so I thought I would show you a screenshot of what's in store.

Here is a look at the highest tier Necromancy equipment - and yes, the mount, known as a "Necromancer's Nightmare", works PERFECTLY:

This mod will also be somewhat of a polearm renaissance - I have added the staff you see in the pic, and realistic models of a shovel, a scythe, and a hay fork. I will be reverse-engineering a lot of code and models from my Blood mod, but there are already a lot of original elements.

One of the necromantic artifacts in the game will do this, actually. Many artifacts from folklore will be available in this mod, including (but not limited to):

The Necronomicon (of course)
Ouija Board
Hand of Glory
The Evil Eye
Pandora's Box
Chains of Mephistopheles
Philosopher Stone
Bezoar Amulet
Skin Poppet

... And many more. The full set of items in the screenshot will also be craft-able, including the chimera-like mount.

That's pretty cool, any chance of some more.. 'simple' gear. Like the black armor the knights wear, I'm not a fan of bones everywhere personally.

Good luck with the rest, I'm hoping to have some skeletons under my command.

And if you're looking for some dark music, I'm a fan of the genre myself, if you want any suggestions. Unless of course you meant you only want offers from people who can make the music themselves...in which case I am well out of my comfort zone.
 
* Here are some shots of the new visual themes for the game - kind of a "moldy old board" look. I like it. In the third pic you can see most of the artifacts I have added, as well as some of the basic ingredients. You can also see the set of items you will start with if you choose to be a Necromancer from the beginning of the game (as well as a shovel). Dark necromancer robes you desire, and dark necromancer robes you shall have:

* Other choices I have implemented for character creation are:

Your father was a mortician (more medical skill).
You spent your young life as a gravedigger (strength bonuses and you start with a shovel - which will be necessary for graverobbing).
Your motivations are demonic possession (nice colorful description for this one).

* Also, I have fully implemented permanent death. You will have a 50/50 chance of permadeath on being defeated in battle. It's rough, but frankly it is also realistic.

If you possess the Philosopher Stone, however - one of the harder artifacts to create - you will never die permanently. Combined with its ability to turn iron into gold and a bonus to Surgery, this will be a very desired item.

* I will also add the Black Armor set in - so whether you like robes, bones or plate armor, fun times will be had by all.

I see that head on a dagger model is getting used now, figured that it was for this the second the topic popped.

Any chance of that being a helm for certain zombies or is it just an artifact? I think it'd be an amusing one.

At the center of the world lies the Bloodfountain - necromancers will have to find it to create the most powerful artifacts in the game... maybe. Haven't really pinned down what I'm going to use it for, but you will interact with it like a game character, I know that for certain.

Also, here are some new pictures of the three new necromancy sets for the mod (the fourth and basic one being the one I have already shown):

Fleshburner's Set - Burned Zombies (created by burning Zombies with oil) will be faster than normal zombies, and this set is for the specialist who likes his cadavers crispy! The severed arm weapon will eventually be a torch as well:

Plaguedoctor's Set - Putrid Zombies (created by boiling Zombies in sulfur) will be tougher than normal zombies, and this set is for the specialist who likes how they look, but not how they smell! The shield has a spike that looks like a hypodermic needle (not shown in pic):

Bloodpreserver's Set - Preserved Zombies (created by embalming Zombies with fromaldehyde) will be stronger than normal zombies, and this set is of the overachieving undertaker in us all! Note the coins over the eyes:

M&B is not game for horror mods. Try to play this on 640-480 resolution and low settings and you ll see what i m talking about

I don't know dude a greathelm made of human flesh is pretty ****in scary to me.
