Update: Rules for the sF_PW_Mod Server!

Our PW_Mod Server is closed till Wednesday 05/04/11 11am CET, because we are bug-testing our new map.

We are sorry for this interruption, but we hope  it´s worth all the trouble...

... so please, be patient.


1. Outlaws/Bandits
- Outlaws/Bandits are allowed to attack EVERY other player without a warning. Outlaws/Bandits can be attacked by EVERY other player without a warning.
- Outlaws are allowed to become mercs from one faction.
- Outlaws and factions can ask for road tolls.
- If you tax Commoners and Serfs, you are not allowed to demand more than 500 gold. Always use common sense, not every Commoner or Serf has 500 gold, but perhaps a piece of iron ore...

2. War
- A faction who wants to declare a war agains another faction, HAS TO publish the declaration twice in global chat BEFORE the attack.
- During a war all players of the opposing faction can be attack without a warning.
- Commoners inside a hostile castle/town can be attacked.
- Commoners inside a sieged castle/town are allowed to defend and fight against the attackers inside the castle/town.
- During siege: If the besiegers were able to get inside the castle, but they are not able to place the banner in the timelimit of 5mins, the siege failed and the attackers have to leave the castle and return home.

3. Peace

- A war is over when a) one faction has been eliminated b) both factions made peace.
- All battles have to stop immediately after the peace declaration.
- A kingdom can make peace with the Outlaws at its own risk.

4. Factions
- If a king is leaving the game a new one must be selected as soon as possible. All diplomatic relations are maintained and can not be changed as long as until a new king takes his place.
- After declaring war or forming an alliance, the king have to add the allied or enemy faction to the own faction name! Example: The House of Lions (A:Nords W:Green)
(A stands for Allied, W stands for in War)
- If you tax Commoners and Serfs, you are not allowed to demand more than 500 gold. Always use common sense, not every Commoner or Serf has 500 gold, but perhaps a piece of iron ore...

5. Commoners
- Commoners are only allowed to defend themselves when they are attacked.
- Commoners can only attack Outlaws without a warning.
- Commoners are not allowed to become mercs from a faction.
- Commoners are not allowed to ask for road tolls and are not allowed to perform warlike actions.
- Commoners in a sieged castle/town are allowed to help to defend.

6. Chat Rules
- War and peace declarations have to be send in ENGLISH!
- Road toll charges and refused access to a castle/town have to be send in ENGLISH.
- To contact the admin use @Admin [msg] in global chat.
- Flaming, personal insults and advertisement for other clans are NOT allowed.

7. Miscellaneous
- Never attack someone standing near an Admin... (It´s hard to talk with someone if anotherone tries to kill him)
- Spawncamping Outlaws and Commoners is not allowed - Example: It´s allowed to attack the Outlaw hideout, but not to stay there forever...

Disobeying the rules:
1. Warning from an admin.
2. Repeated violation of the rules after an official warning are punished with a kick.
3. Another (third) violation of the rules will be punished with an 1h-ban.
- Banned players will be published in the forums.
4. Recurring violations will result in a ban for undetermined time.
- Unban Requests can be made in the corresponding forum.
5. False impersonation of an admin or member of the sF_clan will result in a permanent ban.

Update: 04/26/11 additional rules:

sF_Admins
- EVERY admin can be identified by the name (sF_ADMIN_Name) and armor.
- Don't ask admins for money!
- It is NOT allowed to attack or kill admins.

Server restart:
- server restart is scheduled for 11am every thursday.
- in exceptional cases admins have to restart the server.
Exceptions:
- serious bugs
- technical maintenance
- a faction conquered all castles and towns and defended them for a certain peroid of time.


Reasons for a ban:
- serious insults
- randomer (obvious - otherwise kick as a warning) admin has to observe it.
- repeated violations of the rules (see above)

Reasons for a kick:
- see above (disobeying the rules), warning beforehand

You just created a place for all the randomers on the RCC servers! Thank you man, now we wont have to deal with them anymore!
 
At least they are all in one faction  :razz: . But  personally I like the idea  .
 
Outlaws are outlaws, and in our world, they are mean, dirty and use cheap tricks.

They don´t ask nicely, if you could be so kind and give them all your gold? No Sir, they simply take it, if they are able to do it!

If the lord of a realm can´t protect his precious commoners, he has no right to rule them. Either he is sending out patrols to protect the workers and traders or he is trying  to forge an alliance with the outlaws and let them soften up another kingdom before he declares war. 

That is at least our vision, if it´s mere fiction or could become real, time will show. Rules can be adjusted.

But any chance to bring some roleplaying back is, at least in my humble opinion, a "risk worthy" enterprise.


 
Realistic rules, but i believe suicidal for the players. The Outlaw KoS rule have been tried many times.

However, if the "deathmatchers" go to your server, we might be able to let the Roleplayers stay in RCC.

Yes and no! Sure, you can´t annihilate a  faction by simply killing all members, right! But you can capture all their keeps,  or generally spoken, "maneuver" them into a position that forces the members to leave their faction, because it makes no sense (in terms of gameplay) to stay and fight on (no money, no ressources left).
 
I think the KOS will be handable because they will be an admin team with people in it who will ask the W-questions before they kick someone ( not like on the RCC Server) . Although the sF-Clan is still playing on the server, they will have an eye on everyone and everything.
If someone is still randoming, the admins will see it and ask him. If he isnt answering they will kick him and if he come back randoming, he will get listed and banned.

Great idea, great server (.. better then RCC, really).
 
i like this rules but i cann't join PW_4_alpha4 server it says connection to server lost.  :sad: what can i do now ? i need to download somthing or what?

You need only the PW Mod (click) and than you should can join the sF_PW_Mod Server.
If you already have this mod and the game shows you the same failure, it might be your internet connection.

Thanks for the advice! I think our ruleset defines randoming and "new life", even if our definitions don´t match with those from other server.
But currently we are only testing if our ruleset works, if not, we will adjust it.
 
I've heard you are working on a new map/s ?  cant wait  to play on it :smile:
 
If I recall, half the sF clan was banned on the RCC server for severe randoming.

I think that may give some insight as to the quality of the server...

True, some players from our clan were banned, and they were unbanned like many, many and i mean many other players on the RCC server.
Yeah and our clan were the reason for a server reset, cause we conquered the whole map in a half day and after this, our king were banned for one hour, in order to prevent us from doing it again.

And by the way, whats the damn problem with having a second 200 slot server running this great mod with other rules?
Instead to be glad to have the choice between two different rulesets, and in the near future with own server maps, every second post is like yours...

We never said, that our server is better, our admins are better or our rules are better, or we provide the better roleplaying experience. We simply announced that we offer a new server with other rules, so please "RCC fan boy", stay on RCC and ignore this thread, and don´t talk about something you don´t know.
 
But we DO know, we were an upstart server like yourself at one time.

I do not want Karl to be bashing other servers; and it's also going to be known that he is not in RCC.

I don´t know what you mean with "But we DO know", but if you mean, that you do know what is possible and we will run into trouble with our ruleset...
... I believe, that you do know what didn´t worked in the past.

Anyway, it´s nice to hear that Karl wasn´t hired by you to bash our server. And I am sure you do know, that the problem with youngsters is, they have to find out for themself and ignore even the best advice.
