Hi there folks i was just wondering if Wings3d has an option to unsmooth something because i made a nice helm used smooth, saved and closed and now i have to many polys and im not in the mood to go over the model for hours deleting lines :P

thx in advance and hoping for a positive answer :P

yeah sorry lol my bad.

well most professional programs will have it.

an example is maya.

i can't speak for other ones that i haven;t tried but i assume blender, 3dsmax will all have some sort of option to do a similar thing.

EDIT: in maya you do it with mesh>reduce.

Damn.

I make my models with wings. I have 3ds max 2009 but I find it too complicated.
I'll learn it some day thou.

Try importing your model, add a MultiRes modifier to it, select vertices you would like to maintain, tick the 'Maintain base Verts' button and hit generate. Then lower the vertex count.

It works great. This is the kind of tools that you want. A magic button.
