Well, I'm not going to get this done this weekend. I will do it this week along with moving things around and inserting.

Glad you are using the editor roborob, please keep letting me know things you find that are wrong or suggestions for things you'd like to see.

ok, i have it, changed something and now i cant save :???: :!: :?:

edit: It was a one time bug

If you reproduce it again, just let me know how to reproduce and I'll fix it.

Upon loading my Module, the editor quickly showed me problems that would have to be fixed before it was possible to save. I quickly found the problems and fixed them, but the save option was still grayed out. I bypassed this by exiting and when prompted to save before exiting did so. When loading my module again, the editor did not find any problems and I could save freely.

I guess it's not so important since it's so easily bypassed, but you may want to look at it.

Interesting. It shouldn't have let you save at the end either (that is actually the bug). The problem is when I get those errors, I'm just not sure what the state of the files are. For example, the errors may have cause entire rows to be skipped from reading. I'll need to disable that save dialog at the end as well or come up with a better way to handle those problems.

I don't know if it's just me but I click the download link and it seems to give me 0.306 instead of 0.307

edit: scratch that, I've got it now :oops:

errors when trying to edit conversations/ Triggers/etc. , the editor puts in (for example) Gearld instead of trp_Gearld. Because of this there is an error in saving where it says that Gearld is not defined.

This severley LIMITs the power of the editor, however it looks like an easy fix.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

This is not a bug but I need to see what this means:

scripts.txt: error reading record 1 Error Cannot find key:43, Table Parties
scripts.txt: error reading record 3 Error Cannot find key:43, Table Parties

thanks for anyhelp you can give me.

Still cant seem to save after deleting some things Effidian, I tried deleting some triggers, then saving, and it just crashes :/

Edit: and roborob is right... cant really do much scripting or triggers because of that, but once fixed the editor should be back to being very useful :smile:

Thanks, I'll try fixing it shortly.

That means that 2 scripts (1 and 3) are referencing a party that doesn't exist. It is looking for the 43rd party in parties.txt.

This happens when changing your character's starting stats and items too. A value called "trp_player" changes to "player" when I change something and if I try to save it I get the message, "Cannot find value. Value: 'player', Table: Troops". Can't change it back to "trp_player", either.
