Nah, they should just make it an option in gameplay and have a warning about performance.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions until you actually see SP EA battles with unlimited corpses. Beta MP updates sometimes add and then delete features, the fact that it's there could be intentional, or it could be a bug.

given you can actually change it to "unlimited" I doubt it's a bug but you're right it could go away. Let's hope it stays though.
