Could you guys give me a list of all the troops that you can hire (not capture or rescue) in the game? I'm stuck with hiring footmen and getting them into fights (training skill still 0 ) to get good units.

I generaly think you can only hire Vaeger Footmen, Peasants, Mujiks, and Militia.
Everything else has to be rescued.

Well, leveling them up is a part of fun...
However, as you grow up in ranks, you should be able to recruit better troops... Well, like, Your rank - 1 = rank you can recruit.
Peasants can always be recruited.

Strange that I was able to recruit 4 Swadian Militia in Zendar on Day 1 once then, if it goes by rank...
