United_PW4_HCRP Server Thread*74/250 SUNDAY 4/01*

In-Game Name(s): Vorigar

How long have you been roleplaying: I first table topped almost 8 years ago.  I've kept up writing but the last time I roleplayed was for a ~3 year period on Graal online's Valikorlia server.

What can you offer to the Hardcore Roleplaying community: flexible roleplaying - I hate playing mary sues because of how boring they are to play over and over

Character Bio: An elderly man, Vorigar is around 58 years of age - he himself isn't sure, considering he was born in a small village to a poor family.  His parents both cared for him deeply and as was expected of a boy he worked the fields with his father in his early teens.  When the clergy established a chapel in his town once it grew larger Vorigar was picked to be an assistant to the sent priest because of his adept ability to read.  After a few comfortable years in this position a Lord came to buy supplies and coincidentally was in need of a literate man to work as an assistant.  Vorigar, at that young age where wanderlust overcomes, signed on the with the noble man and worked with him for 30 years as a tactician, scribe, engineer, and scholar.  He was especially quick at picking up the finer side of contemporary engineering and more than a few castles were cracked by hastily but well-made towers and rams, and more than a few desperate situations were saved by preplanned defenses.  Eventually, as is wont to happen, the Lord passed away and his inept son took power, squandering his family name.  Vorigar knew which way the winds were blowing and quietly left the service of the royal house to travel on his own.  Despite his scholarly ways he still has fought on the front line and can continue to do so, albeit not in the heaviest armor.

Sample of your roleplay: Another bolt tore through the taut blood red canvas, pinning itself into the hastily drawn map inches away from his hand.  Vorigar glanced woodenly at it and left it in.  The map was fluttering a bit too much anyways.  After examining the map once again, he looked up and stroked his beard.  "Sir... I know that you want to break down the door," a chuckle accompanied this; "but that's ridiculous.  It's exactly what the defenders want.  Look:" a finger gloved in fine mail points to another side of the fort, "This side is closer to the lake.  I'll bet that they have some sort of utility entrance or grate to facilitate resupplying.  We should send a few men to look and, if possible, open the gate from the inside."

Do you have a history of rulebreaking on the regular servers: I've only played today, but no.  Not on other servers, as well.

Can any fellow roleplayers vouch for your skills: As noted above, probably not.

How long have you been roleplaying: Years

What can you offer to the Hardcore Roleplaying community: I always try and roleplay even when at war, when not in a faction i try to play as a Doctor and did I mention I always try and roleplay?

Character Bio: Cecil is a warrior monk of the order of Lazslo, he keeps mostly to himself and prefers the way of peace but when threatened is not shy of blood shed.

He usually  fights on foot in the old way.

Sample of your roleplay: The trees were rustling in the wind, birds chirped from their branches, fishes splashed in the streams and their were even a few predators stalking, silently observing their prey and waiting for the opportune moment to strike, such was forest life.

Not all of the predators or prey were animals however.

Tumbling from the bushes came I_IZ)NOOBED, the poor serf and his sumpter horse, I_IZ)NOOBED was looking for the stream to fish, he had never fished before and he had spent a large sum of gold in town to purchase his spear and net and was excited that he had finally found a safe career, after all the brigands chased after the miners and lumberjacks, no one messed with the fishermen.

He could sell a basket of fish in town for ten thousand gold coins easily, Nobles and Knights and their soldiers seemed to be helpless when it came to procuring food (other than looting of course) and each fish could catch five hundred coins, he put all this to the back of his mind however and dismounted and began randomly poking the water with his fishing spear, eventually a dead fish floated up to the shore line.

"YES!" I_IZ)NOOBED exclaimed with delight.

"PROBLEM!!!??????????//////?" said an voice from behind.

I_IZ)NOOBED quickly turned and saw them, one scruffy looking fellow, one who was old and misshapen beyond belief (who was actually not a fellow) and one devilishly charming looking man with  trimmed beard and a nobles red shirt.

"Who are you?" I_IZ)NOOBED asked soflty.

"U MAD BRO? 500 OR DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111" screamed the misshapen female.

"What? Why?" whined I_IZ)NOOBED

" Are you deaf or are you just wishes to taste our steel?" said the charming looking brigand and then he added after drawing his castle forged Knights blade "Or do you wish to... fish in pieces?"

"No! Ill pay you!" I_IZ)NOOBED said as he quickly dropped all the gold he had on him.

It was not enough.

"U STUPAD!! NOT 500 ONLY 30!" said the female, drawing her pointed stick, I_IZ)NOOBED was under no delusions he had seen fully armored Knights torn to shreds with such pointy sticks before.

Not knowing what else to do, I_IZ)NOOBED Turned and ran as fast as his feet could carry him for his sumpter horse, right as he closed enough to hit the F key and mount his horse an arrow shot out from behind him and hit his horse in the head slaying the creature instantly.

"U DIE FOO!" said the ugly female

"Your dead fool!" said the gentleman-like brigand.

"Your both dead" said the man in the black surcoat.

With a flash of steel the head of the ugly female rolled on the ground, the gentle man turned and cut towards the man in the black surcoat, but the man had a shield and mail which protected him and the brigand did not, he died screaming "ADMIN!" but the gentle man did fall.

"Thank you so very very much! I would pay you but they took all my gold..." said I_IZ)NOOBED, overcome with joy.

Then he looked in shock the man in the black surcoat gave him some gold, five thousand coins worth.

"I....I..."

"You don't have to thank me, just remember me when your voting for the next Admin" said the man  in the black surcoat, he then turned and began walking back to his horse.

"Wait!" called I_IZ)NOOBED "I don't know you name!"

The man stopped in his tracks, slowly turned and said

"Press the C key"

this needs its own thread just to discuss how flipping funny this is!!!!

I'm amazed by the amount of creativity and effort that all of you people have dedicated to the HCRP (based on the roleplaying stories I've read, the building project,...etc.).

Although most of you will probably disagree with this, but I hope that you people actually teach other players how they could enjoy their gameplay while respecting the rules and roleplaying, because then the population can fully settle in 1 server instead of the split community we have currently.

Just saying this, when playing on public server as a faction that only wants some peace time every day, not yet talking of finding time to rp building up things undisturbed- impossible for longer then an hour.
Or you spent half the day on fighting all others down and getting 30+ people in your back so you can do what you want until you log off and the faction disbands (4 hours in Oasis bath telling everyone to gtfo with 90+ people online ).

Hm, might be the wrong thread, but whatever. Osthaven (Wooden fort) seems a bit rushed, horse prices are too low and there are flying stairs:

My friend also wondered about this terrain:

Is it supposed to be like that?
