Sup dudes! I would just like to tell all of you puny mortals that about a week ago i enlisted with the USMC for a total of four years active duty as 0300( infantry) Not quite sure what my MOS will be, but probably MI, Linguist, or Assault---and i plan on volunteering for the RECON battl. NE way just wanted to let yall know. I leave october 23 of 2006.

Advice: Work out alot, get muscley and get used to lots of P.T. Also get used to making your room spotless, and a few months before you go into basic, get used to drinking nothing but water.
And figure out the best way to polish boots.
Normally Kiwi Black, a cottenball and some water does well.
Wet the cottenball get some polish on it and just work in tiny circles untill you need more polish.

Joining the army is not bad at all...

Trust me...

Place to eat and sleep for free. Plus, they DO pay you for eating their food and sleeping in their bed!!!

All you need to do is listen to your Drill instructor and do EXACTLY what he said...

Here are some rule that they told me...
Rule No.1 : Your drill instructors are ALWAYS right.
Rule No.2 : If your drill instructors are wrong, CHECK RULE NO.1!!!

BTW, Who is in the army, navy or airforce???

I would never ever join the US army so long as I had Bush directing me, if we had a responsible president( IE one with some gray matter up there) I may consider it, although I think war is utterly wrong no matter what.

i agree, but sometimes you have to defend yourself and your country. (though the US army doesn't defend anything, they only attack others).

Ha, I hope they do. You see, then they'll think we're dead, and when they come close enough, we'll strangle 'em! We are immune to radiation, explosions, communists, bullets, cheese etc.

Why do americans join the army by the way? I mean, you don't exactly have to...
