Uniques and usage

Right, since everyone knows very well that there are lots of uniques out there, especially guns, I was kinda curious as to which of these weapons are actually commonly in use amongst EatRC players.

I'm not sure if I missed anything, do tell if I have.

I like the Redeemer because its the gun that doesn't take too long to reload and isn't too inaccurate.

Where's we getting those fancy Uniquenesses? I haven't had t'peasure of finding one. Also, from what I gathr', the Kaishlerw00tcannon does area damage? Now that's one that I wanna try out.

I'd prefer to use it against a tight formation of Ellis    I still have the image of 2 laurian mounted arquebusiers and 3 pikemen blowing up after a nice shoot of a canyoneer

The kaiserlich cannon is indeed one of the best weapons. The area damage is very effective against those Laurian sissies.
The Nord-Morder is too slow so I use the Rosebud. The piercing damage is acceptable.
This mod definetly needs bayonets for the state instead of weak swords.

Does anything affect the chances of getting uniques, or of getting specific uniques?  For instance am I more likely to get the Kaiserlich cannon from the Imperials than the Khergits, or from kings than caravans?  Does battle advantage or troop type matter?  Or is it just a raw chance by the battle/soldier?

Now that I've actually found a few uniques I can weigh in on this.  I've found the Spear of God, Muramasa, and Rosebud.  Of these the spear is by far my favorite.  It's damage is just fantastic.  I don't need to couch my lance against lightly armored opponents; I can ride through a crowd of archers and one-hit them with ordinary stabs.  It's also useful as a pike when facing a cavalry charge on foot or besieging a castle.  If it weren't for the archers, I could eliminate an entire garrison just standing on the ladder and stabbing fools.  I use the Muramasa mainly because it looks cool.  It is useful as a close combat weapon when people get past my spear, but it's damage isn't as outstanding.  I like Rosebud, but I don't find a stabbing sword to be a useful complement to my kit.  I'd really, really like to find the Kaiserlich Cannon.  I don't know how else I will succeed in besieging cities with many hundreds of defenders.  I also want to find the Laurian plate because my character is Laurian.

EDIT:  I just found the elephant gun today.  Oh man!  It's too slow to be practical in most battles, but in sieges it's the only gunpowder weapon accurate enough for me to hit archers behind cover.  With this thing I was finally able to take a well-defended town for the first time instead of some dinky castle.  I'm thinking of using it to snipe State troops because they never seem to charge, but that could make the fights boring.  We'll see.

i like the muramasa because i can use it for 2h dmg or with a shield, plus it looks hot with my state officer armor and lion shield. for ranged i generally stick with the redeemer because the lich cannon is far too cheap, but im guilty of breaking it out in sieges from time to time.

Nord-Morder is a bastard type a weapon, can be used both one handed and two handed.
Rosebud is a rapier and therefore one handed.
