I was curious as to if someone ever made a list or if there is one on here about what unique weapons/armors you can get from kings/queens. I know about ragnar's axe which I plan on getting after I deal with the Vegirs. I'm hoping to get an ivory bow while taking them out, eventhough I don't use bows on my guy it'd be nice for my collection ^^ Thanks in advance
 
Skullcrusher from Yargolek which is a morningstar IIRC
Swadian royal blade from Queen Katilus (looks like a hand & a half sword)
Khan Supremacy which is a dao? or jian?  idk, it's from the Khergit guy
And the Ancient Council blade from Council elder Graveth, which isn't actually a blade, but a halberd (a pretty sweet one at that)

There's also a bunch of other only-lootable gear, like the mail and plate, long axe/double headed axe, plated greaves/gauntlets, heavy plated armour, kergit guard armour, and doubtless some other things that I've forgotten about.
 
Ragnar's axe sucks ass and is worse than a heavy long axe or a heavy double sided axe.

Lady Larktin's sword is lootable, but you'll probably never see it since she will always spawn with those elite dark knights every time.
 
Hi guys, i got a "Knight Lance" from Queen Katilus, for my loyal services as a vassal. Anyone knows what other items is it possible to get from the faction Kings and what faction relations is needed for this type of award?

Awesome mode, btw :smile:

That's what you get for your service, as you said. Those that Kapt Torbjorn listed are the unique weapons you get from defeating them in battle.
The gifts are the Knight Lance from the Swadians, a Ivory Bow from the Vaegirs, an Axe* from the Nords. Can't remember what the Khergits and Rhodoks give you. I never was their vassal since the gifts were implemented.

* Heavy Long Axe? Not sure right now. It's a 2h weapon with decent stats.

It's a Long Axe all right, but it's not heavy, nor is it the best axe ever. However, I love it. It is my friend. It helped me get rid of the Nords when I had a falling our with Ragnar. It may not be the best, but it is imbued with awesome.

Eh, if you don't like the stats of a particular item you can always go into item_kinds.txt and edit them. I always tweak the damage of ragnars axe to anywhere from 67 to 72 slash and 54 thrust or so., making it not a horrible weapon. (Also increasing the price of it so it appears at the top of the list too). Also, I never knew that Lady Larkin had a sword, anyone know the name of it?
 
dam is that the only way to get an ivory bow? joining vaegirs? my troops have them and I want!

Kind of running my own kingdom here, basically just me vs all of the nords. captured nord king got nothing, well I got "huskarl's armour" which looks average but has badass stats, is that from the king?

Hope I can get a good bow, all the bows I seen in all the capitals so far are rubbish. feels like they weakened bow alot and buffed crossbows crazy, which is kind of mad since crossbows have few requirements cept str.

 
Keep killing Ivory patrols and if your Looting skill is high enough, you'll eventually loot one.

In this mod, bows are used for accuracy and speed, but damage is controlled by the arrows you use - check them out in the store and you'll see some serious damage modifiers .
 
Thanks, cant really go killing my allies patrols though

I noticed about the arrows but also bolts too have same high damage, plus the 100p from the xbow is alot more.

I hope the damage multiplier from power draw still has full effect with arrows doing all the damage. since hopefully it will balance out once I have high power draw skill, but thats the point. its more balanced in native because you need to spend skill points in bow, whereas anyone can use xbow.
 
When you have high powerdraw, you'll do as much damage with the bow as you will with a crossbow. It's supposed to reflect that you have to spend years learning how to use a bow to full effect.
 
I'm playing a crossbow game for the first time ever. In what way does it get better as you progress, are there eventually crossbows with a rapid reload time, or am I consigned to getting 5 arrows stuck in my nut while I'm reloading 1 bolt for the rest of the game? I saw a Repeater Crossbow in the arms merchant. What's that?

In short, what are the Pros of choosing crossbows over bows?
