unequal "feel" to the story

So, I was contemplating another restart when it struck me...it seems like the high-fantasy crusading good guy theme really fits better with Sarleon, Ravenstern or reforming Pendor than it does with the D'Shar, Empire or Fierdsvain.  (To be clear, not talking at all about balance or viability here just how well the faction story elements seem to fit with the overall theme of the hero back to restore order/good)

Sarleon : Attempting to reunite Pendor once more under a single, centralised ruler.
Ravenstern : See Sarleon, but with more autonomy.
D'Shar : See Ravenstern
Empire : Attempting to bring enlightenment and civilisation to the world.
Fierdsvain : See Sarleon but with an emphasis on mercantile pursuits.

the current armour and weapon colours give an "Evil Empire" feel.  Ravenstern feels like the Freedom Fighter faction.  Sarleon is the Police Force type, and the Fierdswine are chaotic barbarians.  the D'Shar are like the Hutts, evil to the core, but even more greedy.

And that is what make the different factions so compelling. There is no "perfect" choice, you need to weigh in both their strengths and weaknesses.

Sarleon : Ruled by a tyrant
Ravenstern : A pretender sits on the throne
D'Shar : Questionable ethics
Empire : Oppressive, they began life in Pendor as a foreign invader and are still viewed as such
Fierdsvain : Their Vanskerry heritage provokes some serious questions
