Just wanted to share a jobs listing I noticed while I was looking through the site, sorry if someone posted about this already. Most positions are listed under "Mount and Blade II" while 2 positions are listed under "Unannounced Project".

Careers Page: https://www.taleworlds.com/en/Career

Edit: I don't think I can actually delete this post, welp I guess we can discuss it here.

I just noticed that I posted this in the wrong forum bit, I'll delete it as soon as I can figure out how.

That would literally be the worst possible move for this series, barring a mobile battle royale game *cough* FF7 *cough*. Since they're looking for a big time writer, I think this "project" might be some sort of a story heavy M&B game or a DLC or something completly new and exciting like a dating sim themed around medieval knights.

a dating sim themed around medieval knights.
I would play the **** out of that.

Be a medieval princess with the bravest and more gallant suitors in the entire realm courting your hand only for in the end you father the king completely discard your feelings marrying you to a foreigner 40 years older to strength his alliance with France.

I'd love to have that feature in Bannerlord, actually.

About the project, it's going on for a few months since the first posting. They already hired a concept artist and are trying to hire a writer and a gameplay programmer. They had "must love sci-fi" in the list of job demands, but they removed it when the forum noticed.

Now that sounds exciting and at least 5 years away to Early Access, yay. Sci-fi though, I would love to see what these guys can actually manage with something like that, considering that they never did anything with an actual story before.

By conventional logic, what are Taleworlds strengths? Mass battles. So the game would be about mass sci-fi battles.
But maybe Armagan got fed up with those and wants a story-driven SF like Mass Effect, only with SpaceTurks fighting SpaceByzantines and SpaceChinese for more Space.

Well, I don't know what it is but it is clearly years away and in the mean time they should finish what they've already started. Also, they should make a medieval knights themed dating sim before they do any other game, all they need is a write, a coder, few artists, a UI guy and boom you got yourself a dating sim. Solo devs pump these out every few months, these guys can handle it in short order. I seriously think a dating sim would be a good edition to the M&B franchise, also memes. KFC did it, why shouldn't Taleworlds do it?

For the Emperor!!, im getting Warhammer 40k vibes here XD, but imo, they should put all their resources in the PC version bannerlord, this new project and the consolization of bannerlord its not the best for a small team as talesworlds

Games Workshop is practically giving their blessings to make a game under 40k to any homeless guy they see, Taleworlds can get a license if they want to. 40K would be a perfect fit as well, if they can get a good writer. Those big bloody battles in the M&B engine, just imagine for a second.

Great taking money from this completely unfinished game to fund another. Looks like we paid for 2 games and got half of one

It's also possible that Taleworlds uses "sci-fi" for a game with sci-fi plans and deadlines, like Bannerlord.
