With the regular season coming to a close with only half a week left and the remaining matches not looking to be overly competitive, I wanted to take the chance to start the thread pertaining to the performances of teams over the course of the first season of UNAC. This is the place to generate discussion with the main focus being the regular season with a limited speculative approach to the post-season mixed in.

Feel free to discuss answers other people have and use this thread for that purpose as well as answering the questions yourself. However, before responding to someone else's replies, be sure to answer all the questions yourself. No one appreciates that guy who attacks everyone else's opinions but is a man of no nation and doesn't have any opinions of his own. It's kinda like that guy who hates on everyone else's football team but doesn't claim one of his own -- What a dickhead.

I've also heard talk of Mad Dawg putting together an end-of-season cast with all the captains of all the teams as well.

Tmw and wK. Opinion remains the same however I am wavering about wK due to them often forgetting to play flag.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
Expected SF to do far worse than they did. Big props to them on the improvement.

What was your favorite rule of the tournament?
Forced Flags at 2 Min.

What rule did you dislike the most?
Open Plains. Yeh, it's not a rule, but it was allowed by the tourney. Feel there are too many good maps our there that are a better indication of team skill to have open plains on there (which in my opinion test only cav ability and minimal situational awareness).
From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?
Big fan of Calamity and Clockwise's calling. Both know how to keep control of their team and run with it.

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?
Hard to say. BkS has made significant in roads throughout the tourney. Huge improvement from their initial match with GA. However, I feel all the top NA teams have improved dramatically, as is indicated by Balion's match against GA. Several of the mid-tier clans have also improved a great deal.

Are you planning on playing in season two?
Yes.

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?
wK vs BkS. Best match of the tourney.

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?
Mad Dawg and Cradoc. Mad Dawg does magnificent job on the play by play, while Cradoc is very consistent on getting the stream up and running and showing people what they want to see.

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.
#1 TmW
#2 wK
#3 BkS
#4 GA

Just to clarify - WilySly is the main caller for wK. I am backup.

Lagstro's Application To Hate On Everyone Else:

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

<---- Knights

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

At the beginning I thought DoF would struggle the most, but then towards the end, it seemed GK and KoA were struggling the most even with a few skilled members in them.

What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?

Absolutely loved the 'first to four rounds' system and liked the 2 minute forced flags. Didn't like having very limited maps to choose from every week.

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?

I don't think I have seen anyone being THE game changer every time or even most of the time in this tournament. No one comes to mind from the limited matches I have watched.

Which team do you feel was the most aggressive? Which team was the most defensive?

I find BkS and wK being the most aggressive, while TMW, GA, and SF being the most defensive.

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?

Rebels and BkS

Are you planning on playing in season two?

Of course.

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?

All the close matches. Herpaderp.

Who were your favorite streamers?

Eman

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.

wK
BkS
TMW
GA

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

GA, seems to have gone downhill lately because of the huge roster/roster changes or something I can't see from the outside

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

DoF, showed up and played more and practiced. They still need to sharpen their skill and cohesion, but they are on their way

What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?

2 Minute MOTF favorite. Not being able to play 6v7 even if both teams agree

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?

Mad Dawg
Rhade
Clockwise

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?

GA (Cleric I think or M) calling was simple but also effective
BkS (Rhade) and wK (Wily) were usually extremely aggressive almost so much that it backfires, but it also works well

Which team do you feel was the most aggressive? Which team was the most defensive?

BkS/wK, GA/TMW

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?

BkS improved a lot since their first week, but I expected nothing less
DoF and Rebels have both improved a great deal and I expect they will put out some good teams if they play in season 2

Are you planning on playing in season two?

Most certainly

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?

BkS vs wK even though I don't think cav horde fights prove too much

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?

Boogy + Mad Dawg (especially intoxicated) or Eman + anyone

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.

#1 BkS

#2 wK

#3 TMW

#4 GA

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
When GA started, it was just a few players in AE. Then it snowballed into an EU cluster****. At the end, probably Balion. BkS won't be a favorite of mine as long as they are **** talkers.
At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
wK, running off a high from a tournament win.
What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?
I liked forced MotF, and disliked the roster updates. It seemed like some shenanigans and roster switches took place.
From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?
Braveheart is always a game-changer, and always shows up. Courtney is doing impressive things leading Rebels. Erminas and Maynd do some amazing solo cav work with 160 ping.
After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?
I didn't really play much, but nothing sticks out from what I've watched. Successful early infantry pushes are always impressive, and there were a few.
Which team do you feel was the most aggressive? Which team was the most defensive?
Again, nothing sticks out. Most teams play defensive, but that is stifled by early flags.
Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?
TMW. Someone's learning some good calling I think.
Are you planning on playing in season two?
If I have time
What matches did you enjoy watching the most?
Balions and GA surprised the heck out of me.
Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?
Mad Dawg has a voice like butter, and Eman's enthusiasm can't be matched.
Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.
There will probably be 5 teams -nevermind I can't read- -actually, maybe I can read and the rules don't say which team will qualify in the event of even maps and w/l ratio- in single elim.
1. Balion
2. GA
3. BkS
4. TMW
5. wK

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
West Knights, and The Midnight Gaymen
At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
Struggle - Rebels | Yes the improved and impressed me a lot.
What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?
First to four | Forced master  of the field
From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?
PPK - West Knights
Ron Burgundy - Balion
Oodle - The Midnight Men
After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?
I hate to do my own team but Mad Dawg calling impressed at least for the match's I was there [since they only lose when I am not there]. The GA match is a great example, his own players doubted his unique call and it worked.
Which team do you feel was the most aggressive? Which team was the most defensive?
Most Aggressive  - BkS
Most Defensive - GA [HI I'm european I like to camp!]
Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?
Rebels - They showed great improvement, they took a good amount of numbers of many top tier teams.
Are you planning on playing in season two?
Maybe
What matches did you enjoy watching the most?
West Knights vs BkS
Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?
Anyone but Eman.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why? Before any matches were played I would have put my money on TMW or a close second would be wK. My favorite "to win" is constantly changing but currently I believe BkS will take it. Last week I said wK would win but my opinion has changed since I started thinking about some of the mistakes (see Zaffa's post above) they made against BKS.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why? Dof. Frankly, in the past I was never too worried about losing to DOF. They have definitely stepped up their game and have proven they are not to be taken lightly. I'm sure we'll see an even better DoF team in UNAC two. Closer to the end of the tournament I'd say WMT farm team or GKR. Both teams seemed to have a decent roster but...yeah.

What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?
Two minute flag spawns. Least favorite would be the small map choices for a given week.

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis? Well I'm sure we'll have enough comments about the top four clans, so I'll focus on the mids here. I'd say Alec for Dof. Hero of Hiroshima for GKR and John for KoA.

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation? Chainsawpunisher....ok...you know I had to. Love you bro.

I suppose I'll go with Cockwise.

Which team do you feel was the most aggressive? Which team was the most defensive?
Agressive, wK and BKS. Defensive, TMW and GA.

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season? I would say Dof but I think they backslide a bit. I'd have to say Rebels. We went from crappy to not so crappy. I'll take it.

Are you planning on playing in season two?
Yes.

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?
wK vs BKS An excellent match, with the exception of wK doing dumb **** at the end.

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?
Eman by far. Eman does not know as much about competitive play as some of the other streamers but he makes up for it by being very entertaining. The best combo imo would be Eman and (pick one) Mad Dawg (as long as he's not sniffing), Rhade, Boogey or Blak. You have entertaining commentator and analytical commentator, great combo.

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.

1.BKS
2.wK
3.TMW
4.GA

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

Clockwise. TMW knows his calls.

Rebels

Are you planning on playing in season two?

Boogy was the best.

#4 BkS

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

At start, TMW or GA. However, all of Top 4 teams are going to fight it out and it could be anyone winning, really.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

DoF. But I feel they got better, so I'm changing it to WMT. Hard season for them, honestly.

What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?

I don't really have favourite rules nor I dislike any. They're fine as they are.

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?

-wK: PPK, Cal, Gelden
-GA: LeRoux, M
-Rebel: Bok

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?

I'm definitely impressed by Clock The Wise's calling, having played on the TMW team. Wily looks like a very capable leader too, so is Rhade.

Which team do you feel was the most aggressive? Which team was the most defensive?

TMW and GA, respectively.

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?

Rebel.

Are you planning on playing in season two?

Perhaps.. my plans might come to fruition.

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?

wK vs BkS, wK vs GA.

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?

Cradoc  and Mad Dawg together, or Mad Dawg intoxicated.

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.

1. TMW/GA
2. GA/TMW
3. wK
4. BkS

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
I feel like wK were the favorites to win, though once GA came in a lot of the attention shifted to their start studded lineup.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
I expected GKR to struggle a lot after seeing how many of their players from BiT had moved on to different clans. They did struggle, but a few other clans overshadowed them at the end. KoA and Wappaw had some pretty big issues. (though to be fair, KoA has looked better over the past few weeks and i'm sure wappaw will come out of it soon)

What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?
I loved forced flag and the map pool. Not sure if I really disliked anything too much.

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?
Rebels- Mok
wK- Lagstro
Wappaw- RedKnight

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?
I like the way mad does things. When TMW lost to Balion in BiT during the round robin (I believe we got stomped), I spent a solid hour annoying mad dawg with questions about how to go about calling. From what I've seen, Mad keeps it calm, cool and collected, is in control of the different pieces of his team without micromanaging and the results show that.

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?
Rebels

Are you planning on playing in season two?
Yes

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?
TMW vs WMT (because bias), wK vs BkS for reals, because it was so close until the very end. Some pretty dahn evenly matched teams.

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?
Eman of course. Mad does good, Boogy, Blak. Everybody does awesome.

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.

#1
#2 wK
#3 BkS
#4 GA

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
Probably GA or wK. I wouldn't really say that my feeling that they could win has changed, but rather there are much more potential winners then those two.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
I predicted KoA would struggle the most. I would say I was right for first 3/4's of the tournament, but they're finding their footing.

What was your favorite rule of the tournament?
4 min rounds are nice.

What rule did you dislike the most?
What rule? Uhhh, none really come to mind.

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel  stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?
BkS - Harn
GA - LeRoux
Rebel - Mok

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?
I like Clockwise's minimalism style, but I'm bias. past that I don't know much about how teams work behind the scenes.

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?
Statistics wise, BkS. I think DoF has always improved a lot.

Are you planning on playing in season two?
Yep

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?
I haven't had a lot of time to watch many streams ;l watching the tail end of BkS vs wK was fun though.

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?
Maddie/Eman combo are probably the best for the combination of on-cocaine play-by-play and thoughtful afterthoughts.

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.

We'll see soon enough.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

wK. They're still the same as they were at the beginning. IMO, they're the most consistent team throughout this tournament.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

Honestly, the Rebels. The initial roster had mostly members that were new to the competitive scene, and its captain/caller (me) was inexperienced in leading a team. At the end, the team did change for the better as it continues to improve itself. The team consistently practiced throughout the tournament; individual skills of each player improved; its teamwork got better; the calling became more effective. Mok definitely played a big role, but if the team itself didn't improve, his talents would've all gone to waste.

What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?

Probably my most favorite is the forced flag because it forces even the most defensive team to go offensive. It also makes matches more interesting to watch, especially ones when 2 defensive teams are playing. Rule that I dislike? Can't think of any. Initially, I supported winning-by-rounds, but after this tournament, I think I would support winning-by-sets instead, with rounds being used to break up ties in team rankings.

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?

I'm just going to list 3 players from each team I think stepped up the most for their team.

Rebels - Mok, Templar, Bohemond
wK - Lagstro, Wily, Calamity
TMW - Blacktide, Kherven, Clockwise
Balion - Mad Dawg, Scott Ray, Zero
DoF - William, Darin, AwesomeDude
SF - Madness, Captain, Rallix
Wappaw - Redknight, Greenknight, Blade
BkS - African, Rhade, Vanidar
GA - LeRoux, Shemaforash, M
KoA - Brave, John, Nigerian
GKR - Hero, Vinny, Dodge
WMT - Fiery, Warpath, Eternal

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?

Mad Dawg. His team dominated over GA on a closed map with...a bunch of cav??   He knew that GA's strength is its close combat, but he also knew that it was still lacking in its anti-cav tactics. He took a gamble with that knowledge, and it paid off wonderfully.

Which team do you feel was the most aggressive? Which team was the most defensive?

Probably BkS for most aggressive; it's their style and it's very effective with their highly talented players and extraordinary teamwork. However, there were several times in the tourney that they were forced to play more defensively or risk losing. Most defensive was GA...they love setting up those crossfires, but they're also a great force when engaging in close combat.

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?

Probably Rebels. They started out as a team with mostly inexperienced players but proved to be a thorn in the sides of high-tier teams throughout the tourney. DoF also improved a lot compared to BiT.

Are you planning on playing in season two?

Yea, but not sure if I'll be able to play through the entire season or not, if it's as long as season 1. For sure, the Rebels will participate.

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?

wK vs BkS...even though that very last round was kinda like "wtf" seeing how the entire wK team got taken out so easily.

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?

Eman for his energy from start to end. Mad Dawg for his knowledge. Cradoc for his awesome camera work. I don't remember all of the casting combinations so can't comment on that. Even though those are my favorite 3, I think everyone that participated as a streamer did an awesome job .

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.

1: wK
2: BkS
3: TMW
4: GA

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
TMW, they came off as champions of BIT so imo there was a very high chance that they would win again. I dont think it changed very much, but i think GA has just as much of a chance as TMW now.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
I thought DoF would struggle the most, but at the end I would say WMT as we had the least consistent core players.

What was your favorite rule of the tournament?
I would say the first the 4 rounds. I already played in WNL where flags were forced so that didnt make too much difference for me.

What rule did you dislike the most?
The default locked spectator cam, IMO warband does not have a huge following so its stupid to force the players to watch the stream instead of just watching in server.

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel  stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?
Mok
LeRoux
Oodle

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?
I like how clock has a calling style where it doesnt imply that hes the commander of the team, which gets the whole team calling even though he makes the biggest/final decisions.

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?
BkS they started very weak imo, and became pretty strong over the course of the season

Are you planning on playing in season two?
Yep

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?
I didnt watch any tbh. OR i just cant remember the ones ive watched in my drunken haze

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?
Cant say for same reasons above

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.

1. TMW
2. GA
3. wK
4. BkS

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
wK. Now I think TMW will emerge victorious although I sincerely hope for a wK win (west coast ftw!)

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
GKR. Though I had comlete faith in chainsaw, more than half of the GK roster were completely new to the competitive scene. And that was right, we all witnessed their struggle, resulting in VinnyPooh, Hero_of_Heroshima, Can, Dodge, Prisoner etc. leaving GK. As a plus, WMT seemed to struggle a lot, and that I wouldn't have guessed. With Eternal as a caller and DYLM leaving the Rebels to join TMW made me thought they would have a solid mid-tier team, but they didn't.

What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?
First to four sets
Forced flags
1200 golds
...
Well, I don't think I disliked any except that some maps were horrible.

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?
Lagstro - wK
Redknight - Wappaw
LeRoux - GA

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?
Not really watched all streams, don't have enough data to make comparisons.

Which team do you feel was the most aggressive? Which team was the most defensive?
Same reason as above. But from what I've observed, I can say
Most Aggressive  -  BkS
Most Defensive - GKR

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?
Rebels! A terrible start, then a huge improvement, defeating GA on plains and stuff.
BkS Not really an improvement, but they cleared themselves out of their rust with time.

Are you planning on playing in season two?
I wish

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?
BkS vs GA
wK vs GA
wK vs BkS
Rebels vs SF

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
I, along with many others, expected the final match to be a TMW/wK showdown. At this point, I'm personally expecting a BkS win.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?
I expected KoA to struggle, and they did. They had isolated moments of greatness, but their season overall hasn't been too great. I also figured GKR would struggle, and unfortunately they did quite a lot.

What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?
Shorter rounds and first to four was extremely enjoyable. I still have mixed feelings about forced flag, but I feel like it was successful. I love the idea of map pools, but unfortunately there was a pretty limited selection of maps to choose from.

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?
BkS - Tyrian and Joe: Whenever things go bad for BkS, these two are the ones who more often than not are able to pull BkS's **** together.
GA - Shemaforash: This guy does a lot more work for his team than it looks like he does on paper.
Rebels - Mok: Carry much. Instrumental in Rebels' success this season.
SF - Tesla: Fantastic player who has lead SF in a very solid season.

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?
TMW - Clockwise: Clock's calling has grown quite a lot in the past ~8 months and I think his ability to make quick decisions and position his team well sets him apart.

Which team do you feel was the most aggressive? Which team was the most defensive?
Teams that are the most aggressive or defensive are rarely the most successful. BkS and TMW have had success with aggressive play; TMW positions themselves aggressively and bullies other teams into weaker positions, while BkS tends to just roll over teams even from arguably weaker positions. SF have taken a surprising number of rounds from some teams by playing defensively and allowing their opponents to push the action and often disadvantage themselves, while GA is great at setting up deadly crossfires and defensive positions.

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?
Rebels and SF have both had great seasons, surprising many people. BkS shook off their rust and continue to improve exponentially.

Are you planning on playing in season two?
Most definitely, despite my inactivity in the last 4-5 weeks of season 1.

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?
I unfortunately haven't watched many, but GA vs. wK comes to mind.

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?
I've always liked Blak's ability to analyze rounds and engagements as they happen. Mad Dawg and Eman are a great combination of experienced analysis and anecdotal humour.

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.
Seems silly at this point, but in no particular order:

1. TMW
2. GA
3. BkS
4. wK

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

GA because I knew the quality of the players involved and didn't know anything about any of the other teams. I think there's not much in it chances-wise for any of the teams going knockout so I wouldn't bet at this point.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

I didn't know enough about any of the teams to judge and I still don't really.

What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?

Duel map pick is the best rule of the tournament for me. Best of 3 is more or less a coinflip unless the skill difference is gigantic but it's still fun to have something other than my own ego riding on some duels.

Least favourite rule is default central. It's fun to play with you guys and it seems like even the west coast guys would have very favourable ping on east from what I've seen. I know why the rule's in place but I selfishly want my team to be able to play too.

Also don't like most of the maps, their categorization, fastest, 1200 gold, 7 players, etc.

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?

TMW_Oodle, BkS_Vanidar, Wappaw_RedKnight

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?

WK was impressive, mainly because they played against us in a way I haven't seen in a long time and made it work well.
GA (Cleric I think or M) calling was simple but also effective
It's been me for GA in all the matches so far. I'm mediocre at best at it but it's a great built-in excuse for repeatedly going 0-4 and means I get to play every set lol.

Which team do you feel was the most aggressive? Which team was the most defensive?

WK most aggressive, GA most defensive. Aggressive play is an idiot's gamble for us on east and isn't an option at all on central.

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?

BkS were shaky at best at the start. I haven't seen any streams but from results it looks like they're much better now.

Are you planning on playing in season two?

I wasn't planning on playing season one because I didn't like the rules. Cleric signed me up anyway and if I'm in I might as well try my best. Probably won't be involved in s2 because it's too hard to play matches after midnight with work following days sometimes. It's been way more fun than I thought it would be though.

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?

I haven't caught any full matches.

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?

N/A

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.

Not enough in it to rank and I don't know enough about the current placings to know which matchups will be semis. All teams going into knockout are good and capable of beating each other from what I've seen.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

Had no clear cut favorite.  Most likely candidates included wK, BkS and TMW.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

At the start, GKR predominantly.  DoF and WMT to a lesser extent.  Towards the end, KoA and Wappaw have been pretty shakey.

What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?

I liked the new format and gold (gold needs to be shifted a bit more though I think).  Not a rule, but I also think the map selection process needs to be looked at again (+ more/different maps).

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?

Calamity
LeRoux
Khervan
Joe
Burgandy

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?

Difficult to be impressed given viewers cannot witness the entire map during rounds to see how positions and such play out.  Clock does well to encourage an efficient style for TMW.  BkS seem to gamble more than most especially when they want to dictate a given round; very quick to adapt.  I'll make mention of Mad Dawg here as well, though the results haven't fallen in their favour quite as much this time around.

Which team do you feel was the most aggressive? Which team was the most defensive?

BkS and wK have very forward styles.  TMW and GA are definitely more passive (GA would be interesting with lower ping though, I think they'd be a bit more adaptable).  Newer teams like GKR and SF are understandably (and expectedly) so: it takes time for a team to get to a comfort/experience level where they can assess advantages or drawbacks and then make adaptations to their style.  With more reps this can be sorted out.

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?

Rebels.  They finally look to be making progress without being constantly set back.  Pleased to see it.

Are you planning on playing in season two?

We expect to.

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?

wK vs BkS was solid.

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?

Eman for his enthusiasm.  Needs to be augmented with someone who knows the game.  I found his streams with Rhade were very balanced for enjoyment and insight.  Cradoc definitely had the best camera-play.  Wider angles that show the majority of the action are what I watch for.  If I wanted lots of closeups I could just play the game myself.

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.

I think it will come down to matchups between BkS, GA, TMW and wK.  All are comparatively skilled but the styles will dictate how things resolve, not to mention all of these teams want to respond to certain losses earlier in the season.  Should be a strong end to the tourney (I'd still like to see a match for 3rd, tbh).

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you feel was the favorite to win? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

I thought any of the top 5 teams could win it - BkS, TMW, Balions, GA, or wK.  The only thing that has changed is Balions probably not making it into the finals - any team can still take it.

At the start of the tournament, before any matches were played, what team did you expect to struggle the most? At the end, did the team change, and if so, what team did it change to and why?

The new teams - WMT, CGC, KM, GK were always going to struggle/drop out.  Well done to WMT and GK for being the only "new" teams to stick through to the end.  At the end I expected KoA to struggle with their gradually dropping form.

What was your favorite rule of the tournament? What rule did you dislike the most?

I'm glad we got the duel-for-map rule reinstated.  I didn't mind the map pool, I like the choice, but also being restricted from picking the same map every week.  The gold could probably be played with, especially since there was a patch.  I'd also like to see a greater variety of maps being played next season.

From some of your favorite teams (try to choose at least 3 different teams that aren't your own), what individual players do you feel stepped up the most for their team on a regular basis?

Joe
Oodle
Cleric

After playing all the teams in the tournament, what teams' callers impressed you, what was unique about some of the styles, or was there much variation?

Surprisingly clockwise.  From an individual standpoint, TMW seem to always know their role

Which team do you feel was the most aggressive? Which team was the most defensive?

Other than us,  BkS like to play an adapt/aggressor play-style which is probably what made our match between us so much fun to play in.  In our match versus TMW and GA, I noticed they played very passively and sort of positioned themselves intelligently rather than looking to engage.

Which team do you feel improved the most over the season?

Has to be BkS doesn't it?  They were looking a shadow of themselves at the beginning, but it's not like it's any surprise they improved.  It was always going to happen - they're a competitive team.

Are you planning on playing in season two?

Yea

What matches did you enjoy watching the most?

I dunno.. BkS/Balion or GA/TMW, maybe even rebels/SF

Who were your favorite streamers? What was your favorite casting combination(s)?

Eman paired with somebody knowledgeable about the Warband competitive scene.  Rhade was a good combo, Maddawg, even clock.  Cradoc for his camera work and smooth jazz voice.

Pick #1, #2, #3 and #4 for the single elim results.

Doesn't really matter.  Any of these teams are capable of beating each-other.  Just depends on who shows up on the day.
