Universal Match Rules
- Each week, two maps will be randomly chosen from 3 categories (closed/mixed/open), resulting in a pool of 6 maps. The open category will consist of one plains map (Open, Random, Legacy) and one non-plains map. Captains may only choose maps from the current week's pool. The same map may not be in the pool two weeks in a row. The maps will be selected on the Saturday (day before) the current weeks matches begin.
- A duel must take place on Arena, in the center of the map. These duels MUST start by 10 minutes after the selected match time. Failure to complete the duel by 10 minutes will result in the team who is ready getting attacker/defender selection. If both teams fail to start the duel by 10 minutes an administrator must be contacted. The duels will be played first to two.
- Winner gets to choose attacker or defender. The defending team gets first selection for map and spawn. The attackers then choose their faction, and the defenders choose theirs. Factions may not be mirrored, nor may they be reused on the second map. The category of the map selected may not be picked from again by the defending team (see map categories below). Maps may not be repeated. The second map is chosen by the attackers, who also pick their spawn. Defenders choose faction first on the second map, and attackers choose faction second. Again, no repeated/mirrored factions are allowed. The second map must be from a different category. Team A picks random plains, Team B cannot pick an open map. They must choose Mixed or Closed.
- Random plains may be rerolled up to 3 times by the team who picks it. After the swap, the opposing team may also reroll 3 times. In the event that a roll of random plains contains excessively hilly terrain, then the map must be rerolled until no cliff texture is present (grey rocky ground on the sides of steep hills) in an unmodified version of native Warband. This does not count as one of the 3 rerolls.
- There will be four sets. Each set will be played first to four to win. At the end of each set, teams will swap sides. At the end of two sets, the attacker will choose a map and the remaining two sets will be played
- Teams must field 7 to start a match. In the event that a team loses their 7th player, the other team does NOT have to drop. In the event that the 7th player does not return, the match may be finished a man down or rescheduled at the end of a set. In the event that a team loses more than 1 player, an administrator must be contacted at the set's end. Teams may not start the second or later sets with less than 6 players.
- Substitutions may occur between rounds. If a unexpected drop out happens during a set, the other team does not need to drop a player.
- The team with the most rounds after the second map is completed wins the match.
- Tied rounds will be replayed.
- Khergit is not a usable faction.
- This stage will be broken in two halves, Division A and Division B. Division A will consist of seeds 1-6 (As determined by last season.) Division B will contain all seeds higher than 6 and any unseeded teams (teams that either are new, or did not compete last season)
- Rankings in this stage will be determined by the number of match wins.
- In the event of a tied match, the teams will not compete any further. Their scores will be calculated as is. In the event oftied match wins, round wni/loss ratio will be the breaking factor.
- In the event of a tied ranking (which will alter the choosing of the top 4 for the Single Elimination stage and top 2 of Promotion Stage), the team with the highest win/loss ratio will be the deciding factor. If the match wins are tied, then the team with the best round win/loss ratio will be chosen first. If all of this is tied then they'll have a special tiebreaker match.
- The top 4 ranked teams of Division A will advance onto the Single Elimination Stage. Each week a team will face a designated opponent. If a team is defeated, they are eliminated from competing. The team to win all of their matches will be deemed the Champion.
- If your team is eliminated during the round robin format, players cannot compete in the Single Elimination Stage.
- Advances in this stage will be determined by match wins.
- In the event of a tied match, the teams will compete on a third map. This map will be played as if it was any normal map.
- In the event of a tie on the third map, the match will need to be rescheduled.
- No Roster substitutions or additions during the single elimination tournament.
Promotion Matches
- The top 2 ranked teams of Division B will advance onto the Single Elimination Promotion Stage This will occur concurrently with the Single Elim Finals stage. The top team of Division B (seed 7) will face the bottom seed of Division A (seed 6). The 2nd place team of Division B (seed 8 ) will face the 2nd to last team of Division A (seed 5) If a team is defeated, they are moved to Division B. The winning team will take a place in Division A next season.
- If your team is eliminated during the round robin format, players cannot compete in the Promotion Stage
-Each team must represent at least one official NA clan, International (including NA) clan, or a reasonable organization. An official clan is one that has a TaleWorlds thread located in the Clan Hall and one that has an active member base (essentially, if the clan is not dead). A reasonable organization is, but not limited to, a country, a team from a previous tournament, a Free Agent team, and a group of casual players. There may be multiple teams representing one clan.
-Teams must have at least 7 members to register, with a maximum size of 25. Non-American teams are allowed 30.
- Each team must designate a Captain to handle all issues with the tournament for their team and a Co-Captain to do the Captain's job when he is not available.
-A decision about the deadline for teams' ability to trade players. The deadline is the final day of Week 4 (date may change depending on tournament length) of the Round Robin. Trading players refers to not only the exchange of players between two teams, but also a player dropping from one team and later joining another. This deadline does not apply to adding a player to a roster who has not already been part of one roster. Teams may continue to add players (who have not been on any other roster) to their rosters until the end of the Round Robin.
*If any changes or substitutions need to be made by a team after the start of the tournament, they need to post in this thread about the change. The team must wait 24 hours before the changes take effect.
To submit a roster, please post in this thread
Team submissions close Sunday, January 26th
If there is a match dispute by either participating team during any match, the administrators will review it privately with the team captains. If no solution comes of this, the administrators will decide whether to redo that match under Administration Supervision or to leave the match alone the way it is. If the match dispute occurred during the match, both teams must finish the match and contact an administrator afterwards. If the dispute could have been easily solved by reading the rules, then the teams will receive a warning. If either teams have a similar match dispute where rules would have fixed the situation, they will receive penalties.
Violations of the rules above are punishable by the Administrators of the tournament. The list of cheats below are also punishable by the Administrators. Punishment will be decided and enforced after the Administrators have a meeting with the party(ies) involved.
Violations result in the following:
1st: Duel forfeit
2nd and onward: Case-by-case basis
Case-by-case depends on severity, previous history, and the circumstances on why it happened.
Stream-specific rules:
- If a match is being officially streamed by WarbandNA (or by any streamer both captains endorse) all non-combatants (non-team members) MUST EXIT THE SERVER once the match starts. If you wish to watch the match, watch the stream. Admins are to also abide by this rule unless we are required to take action. Streamer status is only to be given to designated streamers. (Once again, admins also abide by this rule)
Cheats:
- Altering files for an advantage. Cosmetic changes, such as round timers and crosshairs, do not count.
- Exploiting glitches on maps. Glitches are defined as areas in match which, if exploited, gives one team an advantage over the other that was not intended by the map maker.
- Joining the team's TeamSpeak channel or team under an alias during any time the team is considered to be working for the League.
- Anything deemed as cheating by Administrators unanimously.
Dueling:
Duels must start within 10 minutes of the match being scheduled. In the event one team isn't ready, selection will be given to the team who is ready. If both aren't an administrator must be contacted.
To check cheating and other violations, Admins will monitor teams suspected of cheating/violating very closely.
