[UNAC S2] Maps & Weekly Map Pool

-Each week, two maps will be randomly chosen from each category (closed/mixed/open), resulting in a pool of 6 maps. Open will consist of one plains map and one non-plains map. Captains may only choose maps from the current week's pool. The same map may not be in the pool two weeks in a row. The maps will be selected on the Saturday (day before) the current weeks matches begin.

Check back in this thread every Saturday for the current pool of maps for each given week.




Week One: OPEN: Field by the River, Legacy Plains. MIXED: Quagmire, Ruins CLOSED: Nord Town, Verloren
Week Two: OPEN: Sally Out, Open Plains MIXED: Reveran Village, Solace CLOSED: Dreicksdorf, Sandi'Boush
Week Three: OPEN: Field by the River, Legacy Plains MIXED: Rock Port, Frosty Battle  CLOSED: Desert Town, New Port Assault
Week Four: OPEN: Random Plains, The Farm MIXED: Quagmire, Solace  CLOSED: Dreicksdorf, Nord Town
Week Five: OPEN: Open Plain, Field by the River MIXED: Rock Port, Ruins CLOSED: Sandi'boush, Verloren
Week Six: OPEN: Random Plains, Sally Out MIXED: Solace, Reveran Village CLOSED: Desert Town, New Port Assault

Thought Dreicksdorf was voted as mixed, not closed. Also thought Solace was voted out, not in, wasnt it?
 
Several captains changed their votes on Dreicksdorf, me included.

And Solace was never voted out, it was a tie, then Rhade changed his vote to break the deadlock and it stayed in.
 
Meh. Dreicksdorf was either going to be the most mixed closed map or the most closed mixed map. Still too, er, flowy to be closed, imo.

Nation's Cup classified it as Open, which tends to be mixed in the NA scene, due to ease of large numbered cavalry play.
 
Sorry for the absence. I'll update the mod on Event and post it either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday night this week.

Edit: Nevermind, I'm too slow. Uni's got it.

Did the map edits we talked about for some of these maps get implemented before they got played in the live tournament? (Frosty Battle hills and motfs, New Port Assault barricades and houses, Verloren roof glitch etc)
 
I can confirm the edits to New Port Assault were completed, however I am not sure if the link to the new version was sent to everyone who needed it.  If anyone does need it, I can get it for them.

I have fixed one glitch on New Port Assault(and did what UNAC captains requested).
Also i want to submit my new map called Ruins Rebuilt.

Ruins Rebuilt is close type map,but cavalry really shouldn't have problem playing on it.Main fighting should usually be the middle of the map(near shopping stands)where there is a lot of free space for cavalry to maneuver as well as good spots where rangers can shoot from.

Were there any further maps that haven't been edited with fixes yet?  Has the mod been recompiled/uploaded with any of them since the earlier release?
 
I haven't heard any mention of someone making those Frosty Battle map changes (mountain climbing and motf clustering near ruins)

I believe the motf change was something along the lines of take one of the ruins flags and move it to the forested ruin behind windmill

It's playable as is, but I think we agreed these changes needed to be implemented before the map got into the rotation. Someone needs to fix it asap
 
IDK, but Rockport still has the wrong terrain code and The Farm is broken on POM so I can't say that it's correct for sure.

I feel I know the answer already, but for the sake of having it written down officially

Are we going to allow teams to choose Frosty Battle even though is has not been updated as the captains requested/suggested?
