Unable to upgrade to a Cavalry Unit...What am I missing?

I am trying to upgrade my unit into a Cavalry Unit and it says I am missing a horse. However I have like 28 spare mounts in my inventory. Does upgrading require a specific horse type or something?

I think you need warhorses.

Yea... some units need specific horses... It's probably written down somewhere exactly what horse but I havent been able to find it. To upgrate Khuzait recruits to cavalry you need steppe horses specfically

Hmm...while I like the idea behind this, they really need to tell you what kind of horse you need rather than just say horse. Also I think it is kind of crazy to have to use a Warhorse because they are crazy expensive. I mean spending north of 1000 gold for a horse every time you want to upgrade to a cavalry unit is kind of crazy especially when you can recruit cavalry units for like 200-300 gold from towns and villages. You should be able to use any type of horse in my opinion which would make upgrading to cavalry around 100-200 gold give or take if your using the lowest end horse.

Actually I like the change, it make's since that if a unit is upgraded to a footman to calvary a horse is needed. But yes, this needs to be explained better. Would also be interesting if the unit stats adjust to the horse you put them on.

For Vlandia light cavalry, Palfreys and Battanian Ponys work fine, and they're cheap.

Warhorses are needed only if you upgrade cavalry to higher tier. Like upgrading knights to champion. For upgrading from footmen any horse similar to saddle horse. Or specific one for khuzaits. Also You have info when you point your mouse on the unit upgrade button.

No. Cavalry were expensive back then. Keep it as it is.

You're paying them 8 gold a day, they should be able to buy their own damn horse.

Very limited of horse in this game in market and very costy every time you add, and you lost all money and horse if soldier got killed.
