Im getting the same problem here. I even tried to download different versions of the game in Steam and still couldnt load any of my saves.

Thank you for the additional info. I will make sure the devs receive them! In the meantime, can you please try to verify the integrity of game files if you are playing through Steam. You can also try removing the files on \Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord address and then launching the game, the files you removed will be replaced automatically. If you don't want your saved games to be lost, you can move them on your desktop or another file.

Hi, i verified my game files, all went smoothly so i started the game. All my pre-kingdom saves work like they should, the problem were my latest saves which crashed just like before - when loading. I hope that this problem will be resolved with the new patch as i couldn't play the game for the last 3 days (im addicted to this game). Thanks for the effort, hope all goes well

I have verified integrity, it found 10 files needed replacing. Still cant load. Tried deleting bannerlord folder in documents. Still wont load. Have updated to 1.1.1, and still cant load save files.

OK, so I can now load my save games. This is a mod issue where it saves parameters in the actual Bannerlord save game. You can fix it by using this mod;

As Mount and Blade series has always supported mods this is maybe something you can add to your menu structure, a save game fix that wipes any non Bannerlord data from the save game. I hope this helps sort out this issue, and credit to Aragas who developed the mod to fix this.

I'm having this issue as well with 1.2.1
This hasn't been an issue for me until just the past day or two. The game I was currently playing ( I had started over since I couldn't load my previous saved game) was 1.2.1 and I've left it on 1.2.1. I did the verify integrity of game files and turned off all mods, but no luck.spyritwind

Remove everything in that folder, or just the saved games? I moved the saved games to my desk top but that didn't work.

I finally gave up and came to the forums. Until just recently this hasn't been an issue for me.

I have tried a lot, now. Rolling back to different versions, trying different save games. I seems like the modules of the save game or the game do not matter. I can load old files, 1.3. oder 1.0.6. for example. Only the latest 1.3. files to not work.
Here are two save game examples. Both 1.3., but "Death on" does not work, the other one does. For the one that does not work, I enabled the death for heros, this also applies for the later save games, which do not work. When playing the save games did work. It was just when I started the game the next day, that those files seemed to be corrupted.
