Need More Info Unable to launch game - crash upon clicking play at launch pad (vanila game)

1. Cannot start the game -crash as I click play on launch pad
2. checked file consistency multiple times
3. Tried clean uninstallation and reinstallation multiple time following instructions: https://steamcommunity.com/app/261550/discussions/17/2968397584539744282/

Is the game modded?: no
How to Reproduce: launch game, unable to launch
Have you used cheats and if so which: no

OS: Windows 10
GPU: RTX 3080 ROG Strix GPU
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
RAM: 32Gb
Motherboard: X570 I AORUS PRO WIFI Storage Device
(HDD/SSD): SSD Samsung 970 evo

We don't support pre-release versions after the release. Are you experiencing this issue on the latest version of the game?

I expect the fresh install will give me the latest version. it is automatically giving me e.1.7.1

I am a little confused about the numbering system now. Which one is the latest version ?

Could you check the Steam settings of the game? Right click and select properties. Navigate to the Betas tab and see if the selection was 1.7.1.
