unable to connect to server

Could you try to rename your profiles.dat located at
C:\Users\Jesper\AppData\Roaming\Mount&Blade Warband
  (Jesper is my computer's account name, so replace this with your own )
And launch the game and create a new character?

You could simply rename it to profiles2.dat    (Don't loose this file though, as this file contains all of your current profiles. So this will be your backup!)

Note that the game will automaticly create a new profiles.dat if there is none.

Tried it Mahud, unfortunately still the same. When I get back from work tomorrow I shall re install Warband, then install NW over it. If it does not work after that, it's a bug that needs finding and fixing.

windows key + r for run menu

type regedit

browse to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER -->Software -->MountAndBladeWarKeys

there should be a key called serial_key_nw, ensure the value is the same as your cd-key, four sets of four digits seperated by hashes, i.e. 1234-5678-9012-3456

if it isn't seperated correctly, right click the key name, click modify and type the correct value seperated correctly.

then open the game and you can connect.



i had the same issue, the request for you to enter the cd-key in game is not very helpful or clear, completely different to normal M&B installs, and if typed in a way that it doesnt want then it will store the key incorrectly, you'll be able to open the game and host a game but not join a server until you fix it.

This might fix it. My key was all messed up when I opened up this folder. I will check it now, and then report back. But I am 100% positive this should fix it

Someone else did this:

I had this problem, all I did was made an account on Taleworlds, as I didn't have one before, then registered my cd key there. The next time I went into the game I could join servers. However, I got some really bad texture issues, basically, everything is just white.

Login to your account on Taleworlds. On the right hand side click 'my game', then 'add game', it should then ask for a serial key, enter your serial key there.

Im really getting tired of these stupid errors! I cant get on multiplayer for nothing. Ive registered on the website all my games. I checked my serial. All ok. And whats next? 10 euros down the drain! Really, no other company has this prob with logins really! What it says is real fast checking serial and then says cant connect to server. Lol! I even checked my firewall and made it accept the game manaully. So no thats not it either. I want to play the game but cant, what a waste!

hi! I have tried all above tips... I cant make it work... I get "unable to join server" on any server I have tried.... I bought warband and napoleonic from gamersgate, cd key is active... Only thing I havent tried is to reinstall the game.....

I try to play it with warband 1.5 and napoleoninc at 0001 (last update).

I really want to play it, and I hope someone can help me here I am not a mastermind in fixing bugs.. so all help is welcome!

I have made it work. firstly, I registerd my games here on taleworlds. then I downloaded them. first I installed warband, and then I upgraded it to 1.5. Then I installed napoleonic and upgraded it.  the thing when u change the stable conection thing from 0 to 1 did I also do.. so this is how I made it work
