Umm... where is the Music Folder?

I'm not *entirely* sure, but I think somehow in the update process, probably due to the fact that I had customized the playlist and removed the old tracks, my music folder was deleted.

I know how to fix it, I just need to know where to put the "Music" folder -because I can't remember where it went. Does it go directly in the "Mount & Blade" folder, is it a sub-folder in "Sounds" ... where does it go?

Should be an easy question for anyone else.

C:\Program Files\Mount&Blade\music

I don't see how the update could nuke your music though, it certainly didn't do anything to mine.

Dunno. It's pretty bizzare, but that's the only thing I can think of. ...unless I somehow deleted it when I was transfering my backups. :???:

Thanks!

With regards to the music featured in the game: does anybody know from whence it came? Did Armagan commission it?

It's from here: http://www.flyinghands.com/background-music.htm

Really awesome idea, by the way. On the M&B team for using it, and Flyinghands for offering it.

i tried to change my music to the lord of the rings sound track but it didnt work. How do you do it??

I wouldn't know, but I'd imagine that you'd have to dump your music in the right directory, and then edit a text file so that the game recognises your music as "to be played in-game". Putting it on the playlist, so to speak.

-copy your favorite mp3s into m&b\music
-make sure filename doesnt contain spaces (it seemed not to work in the config file with filenames containing spaces)
-got to m&b\data, open music.cfg with a texteditor like notepad
-add the filenames of your wanted songs
-after each name there is a number, coding when the song is to be played
i think 1 is traveling music, 2 and 3 are combat and city music, but dunno what is what
-dont forget to update the number in the first line of the file to the total number of songs in the list
-have fun
