Ultra-realistic games with your input!

Hi guys,

My name is Hamzah and I develop games that are focused on realism and immersion. I was one of those guys that wanted
true realism no matter what the cost. I wanted to see persistent bullet holes, spent shell casings and bullet riddled corpses. Because I didn't like seeing
people that claimed to create realistic games but came out with a half-assed CoD replica I decided to take things into my own hands and
create my own truly realistic games.
I am already developing a game entitled 'Shooting Range' but I am only in the early development stages. I have no other commitments that
would prevent me from working on this project, so the game is completely open to input from the community and you will see results promptly.

You can visit my website here:
http://khanentertainment.weebly.com/

I have released an early alpha version of 'Shooting Range' that is available to download at a cost of $1.50
If that is a bit overpriced please tell me and I wouldn't mind lowering the price.

Thanks a lot guys I appreciate your time

Hamzah

Haha very funny.
Jokes aside, your racist sense of humor disgusts me.
Maybe if I knew that the TaleWorlds community was like this I would have gone to Afghanistan instead.

Not a great start when you're trying to get us to support you.

Ok well thanks for the feedback.
Leif you are a funny guy but if you're into racism and **** then that's your biz and IDGAF what you have to say.
To others, thanks for reading, this is actually the first time that I have advertised my site.
All I'm really asking for is for someone to have a glance at my game and tell me what you think of it.
If you're feeling particularly generous someone may even purchase the alpha version. I'm British (*all hell breaks loose in Leif's mind*) so i'm not familiar with USD,
so if the alpha is overpriced then tell me and i'll lower it.

Cheers

Hamzah

I think you should let people know where you wanna go from here, I mean bullet holes and stuff are cool but are you going for a MP game? SP? Story driven or just shoot at anything that moves and doesn't? What about the AI? etc etc
Oh and you might wanna get this Shooting Range under Games on your site; it's not on the main page either.

Developing a game named Shooting Range?

Have you been to Afghanistan lately?
Go away.

welcome and good luck, modding mount&blade:warband would be a good and easy other option though.

Thanks so much Kleidophorus for the feedback it means a lot.
I'm pretty good with programming and implementing any ideas that I can think of, so programming is not a problem for me, but the creativity part of it is.
I was hoping for suggestions for some sort of real life scenario that could be recreated which people would be interested in.
An example that I thought of was taking out some street thugs that were trying to steal my mobile phone (we have a lot of that in London). That could be level 1, and
I could go on from there and there could be a plot of you trying to dodge the police and become a fugitive. There could be really intense shootouts here and there that could advance the story. In case you haven't grasped it, the game will almost definitely be single player though I am toying with an open world idea that would work really well (buying guns on the black market, starting off with knives etc. because guns are strictly controlled, exploring dark alleys at night as some sort of vigilante).
Thanks so much Kleido for the nice post.

Whatever you do, definitely make an open world and have the ability to do whatever you want (like the GTA games). Letting the players have freedom is a key aspect in making a successful game (for this type, at least).

Perhaps you can put up a few screen and tell us a little more about the game. I couldn't gather much from the site.

My fault man sorry about the clunky design. There is a video somewhere in the site though, I'll link it here.

It's a really primitive design, with exaggerated features of what I would want in the game. I hope it helps you guys do your stuff though.

Once again many thanks

It may also be an idea to release a tech demo for free, so that people can see what you can do and what its about and sell a sort of pass that allows access to the latest dev builds for 1.50 instead.

Isnt open world (i.e. many possibilities, large environment) pretty ****ty for making things realistic? Since you can only track so many things.

That's actually very right, it's really difficult to keep things realistic in an open-world environment, but like I said earlier, I am prepared to give it a shot, after all, who wouldn't want to see something like that, it would be pretty damn cool. I know for sure though that I will be working on this project a hell of a lot so expect a lot of advancements in the near future.

Things have been updated. Price of the dev build has been lowered to $1.00 and I'll be able to monitor any transactions, so if you have bought this build I'll make sure that you have access to any other builds and developer items in the future.

Well, I wouldn't shoot the hell out of people for a cell phone but it's your call.

Reading your post I see you need ideas (as you already said), and you need them badly. You just have a concept, it might be good but you need to decide where to go from here. Story driven? Do write one. In fact do write a story in any case. Open world doesn't mean some random people on random maps. But if I were you I would start on graphics first. Start on the look of the game which will define the feel and the mood of the game in turn and maybe take you places you haven't thought of yet.

I will just drop this here in case you wanna go down that road.

Thanks for the vid Kledio. I love Wolfire's stuff, I have alrready bought their Overgrowth alpha thingy after playing Lugaru for years.
I agree with Kleido, it would be best if I sat down and got a few solid ideas down on paper before embarking on an adventure that I can't handle.
If possible could any suggestions and ideas go through my site because I really need to test if its functioning well and also it makes me feel important (idk).

Yes, to a degree. However, I feel that making an ultra-realistic, but completely scripted game would actually feel less realistic than a not-as-realistic, open world game because having freedom gives the sense that your actions matter, which creates a more immersive (and therefore, "realistic") experience. However, if Duckdude wants to be very ambitious, he could always have a mode that just involves scripted, ultra-realistic chapters, and another one that is completely free-play.

Great idea! I think what i'll do is start off with a linear (non-open world) prequel game which showcases all the realistic features that I am so mad about. If all goes well I will move on to the open world version which would be the main thing.
