Ulf's Farm and The Assembly problems

I am currently running 1.03, and this is the only version I have used thus far.  My issue is somewhat complex but I believe it stems from a root problem. I progressed to the point where I completed Odin's cave and have to appear at The Thing/The Assembly. King Horek told me he would send for me, but I think 2-3 weeks have gone by and nothing has happened thus far. Furthermore I realized I had created a conundrum from the earlier Ulf Farm quest.

The first time I did the quest I did not realize that I was supposed to follow the party of men that left the farm, and went back to the farm, and thus created a 2nd group. I defeated this second group and progressed the storyline to the point I mentioned above

I tried to go back to a previous save, but when I confront the group this is the error message I get

I defeat this group, but shortly after this battle if I go in to town or speak to a noble the game stops.

for the next phase you need to walk around for a couple of days. Resting/camping/sleeping in towns wont work.

Go hunt some bandits and stuff and you should get a messeger. If not, post a url for your savegame (you can upload it to dropbox, etc).

Ah, I see. I have mostly been keeping to the towns that is true. I'll see what a week in the wilds will bring. If it doesn't work I'll post the save.

Alright, just needed to wander for a few days and the messenger came. Thanks Kalarhan! Though I must say the Assembly didn't go as well as I had planned it. Oh well

Hey guys. I'm playing reforged edition and got stuck with waiting for the messenger to contact me regarding the Assembly meeting. I tried waiting, wandering but to no avail. Can you offer any other advice? I'd hate to restart my story.

on the world map hold CTRL+SPACE and wait for 3 days (should only take a minute). If you don't get the message after that then create a new post here on the support forum, but include your: rgl_log.txt, a link to download your savegame, list of all tweaks/cheats/mods you are using, information on your computer (Linux, Mac, Windows 10, etc)
