Today the leader of LNR Plotnitsky announced that he decided to fire the head of the local "FSB" Mr. Kornet because a criminal case is about to be opened against him. Kornet refused to give up and barricaded in the building while mobilising his own men. Kremlin showed support to Kornet and a column of armor and transports with troops arrived to Lugansk from Donetsk. Plotnitsky reportedly arrived in Russia by the evening. It seems Kremlin got tired of Plotnitsky being a bit too independent and stupid and he will be put into place and controlled more firmly. Cool stuff.

So I'm trying to catch up with this ****storm. Apparently Plotnitskiy has been feuding with Kornet for a while, feeling that he was trying to consolidate military power in his hands behind Plotnitskiy's back. Finally Plotnitskiy tried to get rid of Kornet by starting criminal cases against him. There were a few, all related to marauding and illegal expropriation of property. In turn Kornet accused Plotnitskiy of murdering LNR ex prime-minister Tsiplakov, who was arrested for a coup attempt last year and the next day found hanged in his prison cell.
Plotnitskiy realised Kornet is not a pushover and made a serious move - announced that he's firing him. As a result this whole thing started. DNR supported Kornet and moved in troops and armor. I have no doubt that DNR's leader has a long-standing ambition to unite DNR and LNR. I would predict that if Plotnitskiy does not back down, Kornet will strike a strategic alliance with Zacharchenko and DNR will consume LNR.
Plotnistkiy's flight to Russia was apparently a hoax. He is still in Lugansk and he seems to be set on dealing away with Kornet.
Putin's press-secretary said that Lugansk events are LNR's internal business and no one asked KRemlin for help. He then refused to give further comments.

Bonus. Obviously not Russian BTRs and new tented KAMAZ there.

Edit: Just in. LNR MVD (Kornet's men) and DNR's spetsnaz have just stormed and taken under control the Prosecutor General's office. All state prosecutors who supported Plotnitskiy's accusations against Kornet are apparently arrested on the premise of spying and sabotaging for the benefit of Ukraine.
