I do not understand why my ping is so high, it used to be 60, now it lingers always at 100+

I now cannot hit anything, nevermind block against anything, and my arrows and horses sway from side to side. My crosshair randomly blows up. My character sometimes sticks, with his sword in the air. So if any of you see me playing, this is why I suck. In fact, the one time none of this happened, none of the CTDs, I did really well, had very good fun, and looked forward to the release.

Anyone else annoyed?

Yeah.. I had the same thing.. But I blame it on crappy connection.. But if you have a good connection, something else is causing the lag I guess..

Not that I blame my horrible stats on the lag, my horrible stats are due to me not being a very potent fighter xD

I had no problem with bow and arrow on foot though... But on horse everything lagged..

Chill out, been there dude, and I'm pretty sure that the frustration comes from the differences between the regular M&B and Warband, and not only the ping...

Here's a tip for ya: go to the quick battles in warband, pick one of the battles, see the difference for yourself (turning speed, timing on the swings) and pratice.

As for projectiles, well if you cant use them coz of your ping, then dont, you're not missing much, there are a lot of other aspects of the game that dont rely on your ping.

I have the same sort of problem, I think it has to do with the lag, my ping is around 255, it's playabe but the lag does put you at a disadvantage, yesterday I played the beta for 2 hours and only got one kill

I guess thats what happens when you live in australia and are playing in US servers

My ping is about 100 when I play on the US servers (I sometimes prefer less busy games) but imo that's perfectly playable.

My ping is 180-190 in US servers and 230-250 in EU servers, and yet I can rack up some kills in the US servers. I only get screwed up when I try to play a horse archer because my location gets updated too late so all the shots go in different directions.

I'd be more than satisfied with a ping of 100, bro.

Yeah, I play with 110-120 ping and I can still manage getting kills. Sometimes you just get really unlucky though.

for me mine goes to like 500 then after an hours it runs down to 120ish

OMG australian player... I'm aussie too! Hopefully I'm going to be let in the beta testing thing  If that ever happens I'll challenge you to a duel!

Gah, this is what I'm afraid of when playing MB online... My ping is usually quite good in other games, such as Savage2 on european servers. But one huge problem I do have, concerning connection. Everything runs smoothly, until a very strange burst of lagg appears, and my screen does not refresh for at least 1 second. And this burst appears propably 3-4 times per minute...You can imagine how devastating this will be when I'm engaged in close combat.

My ping is usually around 40-80, so it's not the problem. Where do these goddamn lagg bursts come from?

What are your system specs?

Also, what are your frames when this occurs?

Just had the same problem 

But I guess it was not the same hard at the US severs!  I m from germany and my best ingame expirience was with version 0.580 on US server : less lack and not that much crashes.

And Whatever you say I´ve been killed much times coz my Pc or my connection was not as fast as my contrahent!!
For example I get never that highspeed of a courser (50) I cant follow myself on that!!!!

I hope its ok to join Us server from european??

anyway I may Ask them there!

Welcome to being a HPB.  You get used to it. 

Try lancing with 100+ ping.  It can be...interesting at times.  I'm afraid of ever upgrading my connection now because then I'll have to learn a whole new set of timing.  Oh and get ready for your horse to randomly decide to go to other places on its own with no input from you.  I think this is ping related, though to my knowledge everyone gets it periodically.  I just seem to get it more...

Still haven't figured out how to throw accurately with the delay.  Never seem to hit much of anything.



But other than that, it's not too bad.
