Two Questions

Sergeant at Arms
Hi

I bought this game a few days ago, very entertaining. This forum was also very informative, found several answers I needed. I have some questions that I can't find the answer for, so I'll have to ask:

1. On the World Map, the player can intervene in battles that are already taking place. Does the same apply to AI parties? Say, for example, I attack some River Pirates, but I'm being hotly pursued by some Sea Raiders. Is it possible for them to enter my battle with the pirates, or does everything freeze in Battle Mode?

2. Can someone explain how the spoils of a battle (loot, prisoners, etc.) work? With prisoners, the player seems to get every person they knocked unconscious as prisoners when they are the only attacker, but what happens when allies are involved? (Are they divided up equally, or individually, or does the size of the party have something to do with it?)

Also, does anyone know how loot (equipment taken from losers) works? It seems that when I beat up river pirates I get to take almost every item on them, but when I managed to intercept a party of Dark Hunters, I only got 3 shields and a horse. Does KO'ing rather than killing make a difference?

Thanks, and congratulations on an excellent game!

1) For what i have seen... no, an external party can't intervene in a battle you have already started.

2)As far as i have seen, the less members your party has, the bigger is the loot. Yes, i know, it's strange... but i tested it, and if it was not just a pure coincidence, i always got less items when i was travelling with a big army.

Skree already answered the first question.

As for the other question: you divide the loot with the other party according to the ratio of your party sizes. So if you are alone and help out a party of 100, you'll get a very small amount of the loot.

For balancing purposes, the looting system gives you cheaper items more easily than expensive ones.
