Twilight of Chivalry is an ambitious Multiplayer mod project for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Built by veteran Multiplayer developers and players, Twilight of Chivalry aims to be the ultimate medieval Multiplayer experience in both large-scale events and a competitive environment, tailored for and by the community and clans. The mod takes place in western and central medieval Europe in the time period 1390-1420. The primary scope of the mod includes an atmospheric and consistent depiction of the historical setting, expanded gameplay features, a hybrid of preset and online equipment characters, reworked and improved combat and a big focus on integrating clan-oriented features into the mod ranging from banners, customisation to an online metacampaign.

  • Western and central medieval Europe during the transitional period of 1390-1420. The first mod release will focus on the Hundred Years War and the factions of Brittany, Burgundy, England and France. With continuous mod updates we will continue introducing various European states, from Iberia and Italy to the Holy Roman Empire and beyond.
  • Complete replacement of architecture assets and props.
  • New maps.
Gameplay
  • Significant rewriting, improvement and refinement of all combat systems.
  • Expanded siege equipment and artillery.
  • Introduction of early firearms and cannons.
  • A variety of support roles:
    • Engineers – Man the artillery, deploy and destroy defences
    • Standard bearers – display your clan and faction colours
    • Musicians – provide ambience and morale
    • Medics – heal players
Online characters and customization - build your soldier
  • The mod features both customizable online characters and preset classes.
  • Players earn gold by playing the mod, which they can spend on an online store to equip their characters from a pool of hundreds of items. There are no limitations - only your imagination(and gold).
  • Preset classes exist for organised large-scale events and campaigns, together with a reworked and much more customisable system for item selection.
Visuals & UI
  • Vibrant and colourful environment.
    • Replacing the bland colour palette with more vibrant colours. Our biggest visual inspiration for well made environment and equipment is Kingdom Come Deliverance.
  • New UI integrations for features such as banner selection.
  • Reworked killfeed UI! Let's bring back the good old red/green feed.
Clans & Community
  • In-game clan banners
  • Online metagame campaign
    • Online map of the current area of Europe represented by in-game factions, and clans swearing allegiance to factions.
    • Daily large-scale battles contribute to faction strength.
    • Recorded campaign and battle statistics, kills, losses, gains.
    • Seasonal resets with major updates adding new factions to the mod.
  • Small-scale competitive matches
    • Clans compete for 'power rankings' on a permanent ladder, as well as in-game rewards.

Thank you for the kind words everyone. The team has been bolstered with @Al_Mansur and @Profy, two veteran Warband modders and medieval enthusiasts.

Until the mod tools and MP server support comes out, we'll be focusing on the design and asset creation for the mod, we will post previews as we progress. Soon, the forum group will be filled out with initial design suggestions and we're looking forward to your ideas, references and suggestions on the road to release.

It's a pity that the period that concerns us cannot include the panoply of Don Diego Garcia de Paredes.
