Anyone having trouble raiding thier Hideouts? I keep getting slaughtered thanks to their throwing weapons...any advice?

Get a good shield, and get troops that use good shields as well; huscarls or mamlukes do wonders here. Swadian Knights have crappy shields.

Use a bow and take them quickly... even huscarls will get chewed up by them very quickly(unless you reduce damage done to friendly troops).

I have the same problem here. Even Huscarls end up dieing. The problem is that there are just too many of them (and you only get like 6 men wich is ridiculous) and they may spawn on your back once you killed some of them, wich proves to be deadly especialy if you play on realistic settings like i do , even if i have a plated armor on.

The amount of bandits in the hideout scale with level (108 looters in the starter quest with a level 62 character) but the amount of troops you bring doesn't.

Level 62. That's crazy. If you're cheating you might as well cheat yourself to a victory.
I'm having some success with crossbowmen, but haven't been to a tundra bandit hideout yet.

I use a Thick Heavy Board shield when raiding those, and I don't bother bringing any missile weapons.  Fast 1hander, 2 shields, and a powerful 2hander blunt or axe.

I always run around with 8 companions with me so they always come in with me and they do a lot of head busting and arrow magneting for me in those raids but most of the time it isnt enough as by the time they get knocked out its me vs like 20 of them still. I usually end up just turning down the recieved damage for me and my allies and I can usually be the last man standing but it is still challenging at that point lol.

My trusty mamlukes, huscarl shield and heavy iron war axe did the trick last time. Sure I got some casualties, but hey, that's war, and 1 or 2 casualties versus 30 odd enemy casualties is pretty good. Even if they are just bandits.
