Troops with Custom Equipment

Love this game btw. I'm in the process of begging my parents for their credit card :roll:

a) GO to C:Program FilesMount&BladeModsNative and find the file Conversation.txt

b) back it up by making a copy of it

c) open it up and look for this line:

d) below it, add in
Code:
131071 432 0 I_have_some_equipment_for_you.  418 0

Your units should now use part of the conversation normally used by Hero characters when equiping them. Its awesome to see 29 Swadian peasants in chain mail and axes since 1 suit of armor equips them all.

Please note, its technically "cheating" and for some reason, some of them end up barefoot or helmetless, shieldless, etc even though you gave the unit a full set of gear.
 
Hey thats pretty cool, thanks for that! Now I can create my own unique army without messing around too much in those text files. I will get back to you if I find any more bugs or whatever (well except the one you said about)

Might want to give the units MULTIPLE copies of thesame weapon if you want them all to get it. For some reasons some troops don't get the weapon, while some do.
 
Very nice Mod, I love using it. Only one problem. Whenever exit a game and come back later, my troops go back to default weapons and armor. Is there any way to fix this? Or do I have to rebuy the armor each time?

Yeah, i second that, can it be done? Buying my 10 Dark Knights a black helmet everytime i reload i cant really afford
 
you only need a single helm to equip all your soldiers. and besides, if you're cheating by giving your soldiers special equipment, you might as well use the money cheat to get said equipment or make it their default with the editor
 
i actually only use this for buying equipment from my troops before i reach a very high level...

for example... im in the middle of nowhere and my horse becomes lame after a battle... i go in and buy a horse from one of my troops instead...


and its bloody great if you dont want your troops to be on horses... JUST BUY THEIR HORSES!
 
oh and if you look a bit above where youre gonna paste this line... theres a conversation about cannibalism... when the hell does that appear in the game???
 
Some thing's arn't added yet. Eg. The castle_gaurd's are meant to spawn in the town sqaure's , But the town sqaure's arn't implemented yet.
 
note: do not click on "we must seperate" if you do and send him somewhere, and you try to get him back, you get trapped into a cycling and endless conversation. please fix it.

As of 0.7, these codes have to be prefixed with dlg_0 , so it's now:

dlg_0 65535 13 0 Your_orders_$sir/madam$? 432 0

followed by:

dlg_0 131071 432 0 I_have_some_equipment_for_you. 418 0
 
Actually, the text lines have also changed so the first line should now be:

dlg_0 65535 13 0 Your_orders_$sir/madam$? 406 0

the added line should be:

dlg_0 131071 406 0 I_have_some_equipment_for_you. 392 0

this is a fix for 0.701
 
i keep getting a error when i click on "all right jsut pay me whatever you have" and then i have to close M&B is there anyway to fix this?
