hey, can't praise your work enough. it truly is fantastic. but enough flattery, however deserved...
i have noted that when editing troops.tx and adding troops i seem to top out at 189 different units or so.... after which i error out when trying to play. i assumed there was a unit design limit....
1. if there is a limit, what is it? and, if so...
2. would you consider bumping it up to, say, 999....
i would find it fun to create a multitude of discrete unique npcs. presently unique characters take up quite a few slots, so adding new ones to populate the world is going to be tough.
and also,
3. is there any consideration to add another one or two path directions for upgrades? now there are two, and it is sufficient.... but sometimes i think that an addition direction might add another twist to decision making when customizing the players army.
4. finally, the miscellaneous selections of the npc, in my observation, should perhaps have one more option - allowing for a hero to be 'knocked unconcious OR die'. i've put a little mod together that my heros can die, player as well as hero npc's (has you playing a lot differently knowing it could all end with a randow rock through)... but in combat they always die when they lose; however, the regular troop units have a chance to be knocked unconcious, so.... could this be applied as an option to hero npc's?
just thoughts... might belong better in modding section... dunno. in any case, you're sucking my life from me with this great product. kudos. maw
